Park in the car park at Notre-Dame de Huebel.
(S/E) Upstream from the car park, follow the red triangle (towards Osenbuhr), head towards a red barrier and take the Chemin de l'Ancienne Maison Forestière, leaving the Chemin du Huebel on your left: there are signs indicating the names of the paths.
Continue along this path, passing Chemin des Jésuites on your right and then Chemin du Milieu on your left.
(1) At the crossroads, leave the Hohberg and Vieux Chêne paths, continuing to follow the red triangle. Cut across a path marked with a blue cross and you will arrive at a barrier at a place called Heilige Baum.
(2) Keeping slightly to the left, continue along the forest path (Chemin du Périmètre), still marked by a red triangle, which joins the Chemin du Schauenberg about 500 metres further on. At the intersection, turn left (Red Triangle sign - direction Osenbuhr 0 h 25). Continue along the wide forest path until you reach an intersection.
(3) Leave the red triangle markings and turn right onto Chemin Saint-Georges, a slightly uphill path marked by a red cross (sign for Schauenberg - 1 hour 20 minutes). After about 150 metres, leave the wide forest path and take the path opposite. This path climbs and is lined with boundary stones. It leads to a wide forest track which you take to the right (marked with a red cross) until you reach another forest track which you follow to the right until you reach an intersection (boundary stone numbered 196 and a wooden sculpture of a mushroom).
Be careful to take the path marked with a Red Cross, which may be a little difficult to spot. Leaving the main forest road, veer slightly to the right and, after about ten metres, you will find the path marked with a Red Cross (Schauenberg - 0 h 40). This path runs alongside a trench on your left and, at a marker with the inscription P90, arrives at Notre-Dame du Chêne.
(5) Cross a wide forest path and continue downhill for about 300 metres to reach Chemin du Schauenberg, which you cross. Then follow the Red Cross and Blue Cross markings (towards Schauenberg - 0 h 15). Ignore the various paths on the left and right and you will arrive at an intersection.
(6) Leave the path leading to a wooden statue and the Schauenberg convent and turn right onto a path marked with a red diamond (towards Soultzmatt - 1 hour 50 minutes, Place D. Renaud - 20 minutes). Note that after a few metres of climbing, a 300-metre detour and a short climb lead to the Table des Druides. Continue straight on to Place Désiré Renaud.
(7) Superb view of the Alsace plain. Continue on the path marked with a red diamond (towards Zinnkoepfle - 1 hour, Soultzmatt - 1 hour 30 minutes), ignoring the path on the left marked with a red cross, which is a connecting path.
(8) At a large marker, take the path furthest to the right, marked with a red diamond (towards Notre-Dame du Huebel - 0 hr 15 min).
After crossing a clearing and leaving a path coming from the left, join a path marked with a red diamond at a marker numbered 95 after crossing a final intersection (marker 92), which leads downhill to the starting car park (S/E).
