Park near Lake Pradelles (car park).
(S/E) Take the dyke, with your back to the refreshment bar, to the end.

(1) Take theGR®36on the right to the bridge over the Arnette. Cross the stream and join a variant coming from the village on the Prade crossing.

Leave theGR® and follow the road to the right for a few metres until you reach the sign for "la Voie Romaine" (the Roman Way), created by the trail manager of the Lous Camins de Pradellos association.

(2) Turn left onto the path, which often turns into a stream. For greater comfort, climb the hill, either on the right or left, under the forest canopy of the Mont Sarrat massif, where a wind farm has been installed. Climb gradually to the south-west, join a track coming in from the left for a few metres before turning left and joining a track used by the wind farm.
(3) Turn left onto the forest road and arrive at a crossroads near which stands wind turbine no. 13. Look for the specific "Voie Romaine" signposting on the right (small green sign) and enter the woods, carefully following the yellow markings. Go around the start of the Espardeilles ravine, which separates the municipalities of Pradelles-Cabardès and Cabrespine. After a few bends, take a path that climbs up from the valley and joins theGR®36on the ridge.

(4) Turn right and pass by pylon no. 8. Descend, heading south-west, to the Col de Montsarrat.
(5) Take a few more steps to see the famous passage and the cart tracks.
(6) Return to the pass.

(5) Back at the pass, leave theGR®36and take the steep path on the left to reach the Plo de la Gourgue track below.
(7) Follow the track to the right and cross the Espardeilles ravine. Descend a little further to a side stream and continue on the track that climbs back up.
(8) At the fork, leave the path to Hière Peyrisse on your left and continue straight ahead. You will arrive at a large crossroads with several tracks at the Col de Montredon.
(9) Take thefirst right at the sharp angle. After heading east, ignore the access to a wider track on the left to make a circular loop towards the edge of the Braquette plateau before rejoining it. Turn right and head towards a group of three wind turbines.
(10) Ignore the fork to the right near No. 15. Turn north and pass near pylon No. 14 in the Braquette sector. Turn west (left).
(11) Then look for the direction of Jouys-Pradelles on the right. Follow a path that is initially horizontal towards the west, then descends steeply through a ravine to the Col de la Prade crossing. On the road, turn left and continue for a few metres.
(12) Take the dirt track on the right. Cross the Arnette again via a bridge and follow the right bank for a few metres before turning off to reach the hamlet of Les Jouys.
(13) At the crossroads, turn sharply right (concrete cross at Les Jouys) and follow a track between the meadows of Camp d'Izard. Pass a ferruginous spring on a sunken path, which can be muddy in places, leading to the lake. Turn left and climb back up to the car park near the lake's refreshment bar to complete the circular route (S/E).
