Mont Saint-Vaast via the water tower

Start from the Grandes Pairies car park.

(S/E) Cross the car park, head towards Rue de Lens, passing over the Baudimont Fountain, then cross the Scarpe.

(1) Turn right onto the Chemin des Trois Fontaines and continue straight on.

(2) Turn left onto the Voie des Croix, then first turn left then right and continue along the Chemin du Ryonval. Join the Chemin des Gueux on the left and continue to the Route de Lens.

(3) First turn left then right to join Avenue de la Clinique, and continue to Route de Béthune.

(4) Turn left, then first turn right then left to join Rue Camille Corot.

(5) Turn left towards the town hall. Just before you reach it, turn right towards the École Claudie Haigneré and the École René Carette.

(6) First turn left then right to reach Chaussée Brunehaut. Cross it and head straight ahead.

(7) Turn right at the junction. Carry on straight ahead along the ponds and, at the end, take the path on the right to reach Rue Georges Louchet, then Rue de la Scarpe.

(8) First turn right then left. At the end, first turn left then right, and take Rue du 11 Novembre on the right. At the end of the street, turn left onto Rue Henri Cadot and carry on straight ahead.

(9) Turn left onto Rue Désiré Delansorne. Then turn right onto Rue Jean Jaurès, then left. At the end, turn right.

(10) Continue left onto Rue Briquet-Taillandier until you reach Saint-Aubain.

(11) Turn left, cross the Scarpe and carry on straight ahead. At the end, turn right, then left until you reach La Pièce en Pointe, very close to the N25.

(12) Leave this behind and turn left onto a footpath, then head towards Mont Saint-Vaast. Turn left onto the Sentier des Filatiers and carry on straight ahead.

(13) Turn right. At the end, take the first turn right then left to continue along Rue du 8 Mai 1945 and pass the Collège Charles Péguy.

(14) Turn left onto the Chemin des Maçons, then immediately right to enter the park. At the end, turn left, then take the second path on the right.

(15) At the junction, turn left to walk past the Fontaine Baudimont, then take the first path on the right to reach the car park (S/E).
