This is truly a leisurely walk, with no significant elevation gain; thesecond half is accompanied by the pleasant sound of running water throughout, and in summer there are plenty of flowers and insects, including beautiful butterflies (this year).
It’s particularly lovely in hot weather as the route is shaded or partially shaded all the way; you can even feel a real sense of coolness, along with the scents of flowers and pine trees (in thesecond half).

Description of the walk

Parking is available near the bridge over the Gouttelle (alternatively, there are car parks in Neufmanil.

(S/E) Take the small path leading off to the right, then quickly turn left to follow the road along a shaded path.

(1) At the crossroads, turn right onto the Chemin empierré du Blanc Caillou and carry on straight ahead, still following the Ruisseau de Naidimont, until you reach a fork.

(2) Leave the stony track and take the dirt track branching off to the left.

(3) Cross the stream at the ford.

(4) Turn left to head back down towards Neufmanil, still following the stream.

(5) Turn left towards the village, cross the Pont Rouge and continue to the road.

(6) Turn right and walk past the houses to return to the starting point (S/E).
