Description of the walk

Park in the Town Hall car park.

Unmarked

(S/E) From the car park, return to the main road, "Hent Kreis Ar Vourc'h", turn left and walk up the village.

(1) Turn right into the hairpin bend towards the school, then left opposite the church. Note a fluted stele next to the house with blue shutters, near the school. Turn right onto the road towards the bridge "Pont Coualc'h". Follow this road downhill, leaving the mill "Moulin du Deuffic" on your right.

GR® White and red Marking

(2) After crossing the bridge, turn right onto the path overlooking the river. Continue along this path through the woodland.

(3) Leave the upward path on the left (signposted "Douarnenez") and continue straight ahead.

PR® Yellow Marking

(4) The path heads towards the mill "Moulin de Kerguerhent" (transformed into a hut), then skirt around to the left. Continue until you reach a road.

(5) Cross the road and continue straight ahead: this section has been laid out along a forebay. Pass an attractive single-stone bridge, then a picnic table (view of the three Pouldergat wind turbines inaugurated in 2019). Continue, leaving behind all the paths that go up on the left. Arriving opposite of the quarry "Entreprise Le Roux", the path marked by a wooden fence, follows a wide meadow.

(6) The path bends off to the right through a passageway leading around the quarry work area (do not take the stairs leading to the road).

(7) At the end of the meadow, turn right onto a grassy path which leads to a footbridge over the river. Turn left to reach a bridge. Climb up onto the bridge: an ideal spot for a break. Turn right onto the wide path (Circuit des Trois Ormes). Continue along this wide path, which borders a wooded wetland. After skirting meadows used for horses, leave the route "Circuit des Trois Ormes", which climbs to the left. Continue until you reach a small road.

Unmarked

(8) Turn right up the small road to Kerdrein farm. Turn left and continue along the road past the Lansaludo farm. After a descent lined with wetlands, look out for the "Saint-Nicolas" fountain, restored in 2018. There's even a bench where you can take a break.

(9) Continue back to the village. Turn left towards the townhall car park and before you, on your right, spot an old petrol station (S/E).

In the wood, there has been no maintenance since a storm. Only the initiated can find the path... a pity. You have to go up into a field above the wood to find the path further on.

Very nice route, worth doing again. I only use the map via the Visiorando app and have not encountered any difficulties. With a dog, a lead is compulsory towards the Kerguerhent mill ( 4 ).

Lovely, shady walk. Not much tarmac, but the signposting is average, as there are several different walks on the route, so it's better to follow the instructions on visarando rather than the signposts.
I'd say it's more medium than easy, as there are a few descents in the forest that require good shoes. Don't forget to take a break near the little stone bridge where a picnic table awaits you, it's a bucolic place 🥰

A very pretty route in the heart of nature and in a peaceful setting.
You don't pass very close to the Goyen, but the paths through the woods are very pleasant.

Hello,
We've just done this 2 hour 15 minute tour. A superb walk in the heart of nature...magnificent.
Just to say that we should mention on point 7 this bridge (go up on the bridge, ideal break) from the medieval period (13th century), a rather rare jewel in the region. Amongst the walkers there are many people who are passionate about walking but also about history and heritage and this bridge is truly exceptional.
All the best,
Antoine H

A bit of tarmac but not too much overall. The Goyen valley is really quite beautiful. The old bridge alone is worth the diversions.

Beautiful autumn walk in the undergrowth despite the tarmac at the start and end of the circuit (little traffic). The directions are precise.

A parish specific to Brittany, it's a lovely, easy walk combining forest, river and meadow.

Congratulations. I did this walk on Thursday 08 March 2018 with about fifteen very enthusiastic hikers. It's a magnificent, relaxing walk, full of beautiful places to admire and listen to nature. The bridge formed from a single stone, the Kerguerhent mill, the old bridge and the St Nicolas fountain are little jewels of our Breton culture.
Highly recommended.

Hello everyone,
The walk we did this Sunday was pleasant but we would have liked to be closer to the stream. We only see it very rarely, which has one small advantage: the terrain is not greasy.
