The walk starts from Rue Stanislas Fabre, the first road on the right after the traffic lights when coming from Aubagne. Parking is available a little further down.
(S/E) Walk up Rue Stanislas Fabre (northbound).
(1) Then take Boulevard Gambetta opposite and turn left at the wine cellar. Continue along Chemin de Raphele for 300 metres, then turn right onto Chemin de Valcros.
(2) Turn right onto Montée de la Safranière. At the end of this lane, there is a steep climb for 300 m.
(3) Turn left onto a slightly descending path that leads to Vallon de Julie. Follow this path, which takes you through unspoilt countryside, for about 1200 m.
(4) Turn left onto the track that heads south.
(5) After 800 metres, at a crossroads, take the steeply ascending path that heads straight north. Ignore a path branching off to the left a little further up. Then continue for about a kilometre, ignoring the private area called "Les Estagnols" on the right.
(6) Follow the track heading north-east for 400 metres.
(7) Turn left onto a track heading north. Continue straight ahead, ignoring the turn-offs to the right and left, and continue north. On the way, you can stop near a charming little refuge surrounded by wells and dominated by the Pic de Bertagne. Join a track and follow it to the right.
(8) Almost immediately, take a path climbing to the left. After 500 metres, ignore a path marked "Pic de Bertagne" on the left and continue eastwards.
(9) Arrive at Jas de Sylvain, a sheepfold which is unfortunately private property. Descend the track towards the south-east until you reach a crossroads, then continue straight ahead on the descending track. ThePR® winds its way southwards. Stay on thePR® and ignore the paths branching off to the right and left until you reach a cistern near a fork in the tracks.
(10) Follow thePR® by turning right onto this path, then descend to the left onto a trail for 150 m. Join a track and descend to the left. You will then overlook the Vallon de Dausserand. The track winds its way, then continues straight ahead for 2500 m. You will then enter the shaded Vallon de Ste-Madeleine.
(11) Leave the road and enter the park on the right, continue straight ahead, and enter the village with its typical Provençal streets. Arrive at Rue Nationale and admire the beautiful fountain.
(12) Turn right onto the village's main street.
(1) Then turn left onto Rue Stanislas Favre and you will find the (S/E).
