Description of the walk

The walk starts from the village of Le Châtelard. You can park in the village or walk down from La Rosière via the hiking trails. Leave your car there (parking spaces along the road) and start the walk from the crossroads.

(S/E) Head south-east along the Route de Vaz. Stand facing the chapel and take the road leading down to your left, where you’ll pass several chalets. When you reach the old school, head towards Le Vaz. Stay on the road, which will become increasingly steep. Pass a water trough and carry on straight ahead.

(1) Cross the bridge over the Torrent des Moulins. Continue uphill and you’ll soon reach the hamlet of Le Vaz.

(2) Follow the route in the opposite direction to return to Le Châtelard (S/E)
