Car park at the Labergement-Ste-Marie leisure centre.
Yellow and blue markings.
(S/E) When you leave the car park, go straight ahead towards Lac de Remoray. At the shore, follow the sandy path on the left, going around the large pond to reach a bench and a signpost.
(1) Turn right onto the path towards the Maison de la Réserve. At the next signpost (Les Valières), turn left towards the Maison de la Réserve. Cross the departmental road carefully and continue along the path opposite. On your left is the Doubs, which over thousands of years has separated the original large lake in two with its alluvial deposits. Cross the D439 and continue for about 150 metres on the small road on the right until you reach the fork in the hiking trails.
(2) Keep right on the gravel path that crosses the pastures (towards Belvédère des Deux Lacs). When it turns right, continue straight ahead on the meadow path until you reach an iron turnstile. Enter the pasture and continue straight ahead towards the pine forest to find a chicane passage and a path. Cross a small clearing and you will find the departmental road below.
(3) Cross carefully and continue along the remains of the old road, then follow the departmental road for a few metres, crossing a small bridge over a small waterfall. Immediately after the bridge, go about 20 steps along the gravel path and leave it straight away to climb the embankment on the left towards a slightly rutted farm track (mountain bike sign). At the tarmac road, turn left and continue for about 100 metres.
(4) Before reaching the departmental road, turn right onto the small road. Then climb immediately to the right into the pine forest. At a stop sign, climb up the stony path on the left. Before rejoining the small road, this path turns left and soon leads you to the Belvédère des Deux Lacs. Take the path on the left (towards Le Brey). After a descent, you will reach a small road and the hamlet of Le Brey.
(5) Go down to the left despite the yellow and blue crosses (ignoring the signposts) towards the departmental road. Follow it to the left for a few metres. Cross and go down towards the fountain. On your left is a beautiful little spring. At the fountain, turn immediately left.
(6) At the "Give Way" sign, cross the road and continue straight ahead, following the embankment of a craft industry area under construction, then turn right and follow the back of the buildings to the end of the road. Then go down to the left towards the forest. Cross the Lhaut stream on a footbridge and after a short climb, follow this path downhill to a small paved road.
(7) Go up to the right. The road is a bit rough, but it's a quiet little road with views of the lake, and you'll come to a crossroads.
(8) Go down to the far left along a farm track which, at the bottom, turns right to join a small road. Go down to the left to return to the crossroads you passed on the way there.
(2) Turn right and return to the large pond.
(1) Leave the route you took on the way there and turn right to reach the car park (S/E).
