Lac du Grand Ban

Description of the walk

(S) Départ depuis le Lac de la Ponsonnière.
Toujours sur le GR®57, balisé Rouge et Blanc, entamez la 1°re°° et courte ascension pour accéder rapidement au Col de la Ponsonnière.

(1) Restez sur le GR®57 en face, entamez une descente aisée qui se termine au carrefour du Lac des Cerces.

(2) Quittez pour un instant le GR®57 pour passer à côté du Lac des Cerces. Retrouvez le GR®57 puis entamez une nouvelle ascension. Accédez au Col des Cerces et prolongez pour trouver un carrefour de sentiers.

(3) Tournez à gauche pour faire le tour des deux lacs, le Grand Ban puis le Rond. Rejoignez le GR® au bout du Lac Rond. Reprenez ce GR® à gauche et trouvez très vite le Lac de la Clarée.

(4) Terminez la descente en longeant la Clarée.

(5), Rejoindre le Refuge des Drayères (E) étape du jour.

There are several ways to get to Lake Ponssonière, but only on foot 😅. As for the hike to the Drayere refuge, it's beautiful and fairly easy because it's short and downhill. On a three-day trek with three children, it was quite pleasant and relaxing.
