This hike has two contrasting sections: the start and the end take place on trails and pastoral tracks, which lend themselves to daydreaming. Crossing the ridges becomes technical (without major difficulties) as you approach the summit of Jalinier, with no real path but a passage open in the vegetation and the rocky ridge of the summit. This impressive rocky ridge is visible from Sisteron and the surrounding area. If you dream of climbing it, here is one of the possible routes. It's a fairly easy hike but offers exceptional views of the mountains, the Sasse valley and the Durance river.

This family walk crosses the hill of Saint-Abdon, on the northern edge of which Tallard Castle was built, following the ridge. Please note that some sections run alongside the cliff. It offers magnificent views over the Durance valley, the Montagne de Céüse and the Pic de Bure. The return route takes you across the plain, on the Durance side, past orchards, vineyards and allotments.

Upon reaching the edge of the Clapouse pastures, the landscape suddenly opens up to a magnificent panorama. The final part of the ascent takes place in open country, amidst a rugged, rocky landscape that feels almost timeless. At the summit of Costebelle, a breathtaking 360° view awaits you. Take a deep breath and treat your lungs to a real breath of fresh air.

This path leading to the Sigot Nursery allows you to discover the site’s forestry, human and historical heritage, starting with the Grotte des Maquisards. This lovely, easy walk is dotted with wooden sculptures and information boards. Picnic tables are provided so you can enjoy a comfortable lunch break. After a gentle warm-up as you climb up a wide track, you’ll reach the Blocs de Céüse area and the Grotte des Maquisards. The forest track continues along the hillside, then you’ll take a path restored by the ONF which leads you to the former Sigot Nursery before heading back down to the starting point.

A short, all-downhill stage towards the Durance valley, as far as Tallard. You can make a detour via Sigoyer and rejoin the route via the D19. This route runs partly through woodland, with the Durance valley and the peaks of the Écrins and Ubaye massifs as a backdrop. This hike takes you to the top of La Baume. Magnificent views of Sisteron, the surrounding valleys and the Alps. You then cross to the other side of the mountain, revealing yet another landscape. But first, you will need to pass through the Grotte du Trou de l'Argent, which adds a touch of adventure to the route. During your journey, you will also use handrails, small ladders and cross a balcony.

A lovely family walk, allowing you to stroll at the foot of the ‘Demoiselles Coiffées’ and then, from the village’s terraces, enjoy magnificent views over the wooded valley, the vineyards, the three lakes of Rochebrune and, on the horizon, the Parpaillon, Trois Évêchés and Digne Pre-Alps mountain ranges.

A short hike that's perfect for exploring Sisteron from all angles! Passing by the cemetery, you'll find a quiet little path that leads to Route de Ribier. Head back towards Sisteron, then take the Sentier du Molard trail and return via the stunning Thor plateau. Walkers with dogs will be delighted.

This hike is for those who:- want to walk 10 km at a good pace. It is a mostly flat trail, good for pacing. - are afraid of the sun and heat. It is 90% covered by dense vegetation. - enjoy peace and quiet. The area is much less frequented than the Baume mountain.This mountain is not named on maps. Here you will hike its entire length, along the north side and then along the ridge.

A circular walk to reach the Saint-Sixte Chapel and descend via the Bréziers road. The highest point offers a stunning panoramic view of the Bréziers valley and the Durance valley, with the peaks of Céüse, Bure and Mont Colombis in the background. Be careful, there are two options for the end of the route: either via a wide track and then the road (safer but longer), or go ‘off-trail’ tocut across fields and a stream to reach the D951 road (shorter but more difficult).

A circular route starting from the hamlet of Mélan takes you to the Sommet du Corbeau, where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Durance valley and the Massif des Monges. The route alternates between wide tracks, open landscapes and forest passages. It is not difficult.
