La Môle walks
Towards the Chartreuse de la Verne
A pleasant hike in the countryside and a visit to the Chartreuse de la Verne.
You can also access this hike by taking the ST Julien path (on the left at the first traffic lights when coming from Toulon). The dam area is no longer accessible by car. Park before the barrier on the right-hand side of the road near a small wood and continue on foot to the dam.
Around Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer
A beautiful loop where you can enjoy all the scents of Mediterranean flora and magnificent views throughout the hike. The route has a steep climb at the start, but this is quickly forgotten thanks to the views it offers. Although part of the route is on a tarmac road, this is fine as there is always something to look at.
Le Rayol - Le Canadel, sea and ridges
This is a short loop offering beautiful views of the Mediterranean coast on varied and sometimes challenging terrain.
The trail starts among beautiful villas with sea views, then follows a balcony path above the coastline to a lovely beach, and returns via an old railway line.
This walk is best suited to sure-footed walkers who are not afraid of tackling the climbs right from the start.
On the cliff top between Bonporteau and Le Dattier
An easy hike with beautiful views of the Mediterranean coastline and the Îles du Levant, Port Cros and Porquerolles. A rare walk along this unspoilt coastline.
Hike published by Éditions du Chemin des Crêtes: Les plus belles randonnées Visorando Provence Côte d'Azur(The most beautiful hikes in Provence Côte d'Azur).
The Crests of La Chartreuse de la Verne
A walk through the crests of the Maures forest.
A breathtaking landscape taking in the Mediterranean and the Alps.
Summit of the Ermitage from the Chartreuse de la Verne
A short loop with superb views, to be done before or after visiting the charterhouse.
The Oppidum of Montjean
This route will take you on a journey of discovery through the traces left behind by the Ligurians who once occupied these lands. This dry stone fortress, built between the 6th and 4th centuries BC, overlooks the Bay of Cavalaire from a height of 460 metres. It offers exceptional views of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, the Maures massif, the Estérel and the Mercantour in the distance.
The balconies of Cavalière
Park in the car park next to the town hall annex and the post office. A superb view and a good little climb, a bit too much tarmac for me. Very well signposted, it's a superb loop.
The peaks of Le Péra and Le Bœuf, via Le Grand Noyer and Le Petit Noyer
Circuit in the Massif des Maures, between narrow paths and wide tracks, passing by the Sommet du Bœuf and the Collobrières weather radar.
Le Grand Noyer, La Gourre and Le Révérencier
A pleasant outing to the valleys of Grand Noyer, La Gourre and Le Révérencier, where you will alternate between pretty drovers' roads, water points, old mule tracks, undergrowth and old stone bridges...
Grimaud Heritage Loop
Between nature and town, this loop takes in Grimaud and its must-sees: the Chapelle Saint-Roch, the Pont des Fées and the Vallon de la Garde on the outskirts of the village, the church of Saint-Michel, the village's typical narrow streets, the Tour de l'Horloge, the Chapelle des Pénitents and the Château de Grimaud.
Vallon du Pont des Fées, paved slanting street and Le Pierredon
A pleasant hike in Grimaud in the hinterland of Saint-Tropez.
The circuit starts near a renovated windmill, then passes near a bridge that was once used as an aqueduct called Pont des Fées. It continues through the beautiful Garde valley, where vineyards, wild olive trees and heath alternate. The return route crosses the old town of Grimaud and passes by the castle.
Chartreuse de la Verne and Plateau Lambert
A circular loop in the heart of the Forêt des Maures, where you can admire the Chartreuse de la Verne and the Menhirs du Plateau Lambert.
The Menhirs of the Lambert Plateau from the Croix d'Anselme
A short loop in the heart of the Maures forest to admire the Menhirs de Lambert. Part of the route is on a paved road (but closed to traffic) and wide forest tracks.
The Lambert Plateau via the Vallon de Lambert
I suggest a walk that will take you to the Lambert Plateau on a shaded route along the Verne.
The Chemin du Bargidon
An easy hike starting from Super Lavandou and following the Chemin du Bargidon. Exceptional views throughout the hike over the bay of Bormes and Le Lavandou, the Hyères islands and even as far as Toulon. When you reach the Route des Crêtes, the view becomes sublime!
