Car park on the D98 towards La Môle. At the sign for the Clos Mistinguett vineyard, turn left onto a short track that leads to a lay-by which serves as a car park.
(S/E) Go through the barrier at the end of the car park until you reach a right-hand bend. A small path branches off to the left and leads tothe GR®90, which runs along the left bank of the Vallon du Petit Noyer.
(1) Take thisGR® trail, which leads to the Retenue du Grand Noyer reservoir.
(2) At the dyke, take the track that climbs uphill. After two hairpin bends (right then left), the track curves to the right. Leave the track and continue left on the GR®.
(3) You will come to a T-junction with the ruins of the hamlet of Grand Noyer. Leave theGR® and take a track on the right that descends into the Vallon du Grand Noyer valley before climbing back up.
(4) At a majestic pine tree and a cairn, leave the track and take a path that climbs to the left. On the left, there are white paint markings on tree trunks along the path: RBI (Réserve Biologique Intégrale - Integral Biological Reserve). Follow this path, which is initially covered and then opens out into a clear area. You will pass below the summit of Le Péra (542 m) before arriving at a crossroads: Piste des Sivadières and Route des Crêtes de la Verne.
(5) Turn left onto Route des Crêtes de la Verne (formerly asphalted, but now very deteriorated) until you reach a cistern on the left with an information panel for the Collobrières Weather Radar.
(6) Leave the Route des Crêtes and turn left onto the track leading to the radar. Go through the first gate on the left until you reach the radar enclosure itself. Walk along the fence on the right until you reach the Sommet du Bœuf.
(7) "Panorama and picnic area among the rocks" (altitude 646). Descend by the same route.
(6) Take the ridge road westwards. After a clear stretch, you will enter a forest partially planted with eucalyptus trees. At a crossroads, ignore the track that branches off to the right (Piste de l'Éouvière) and continue on the ridge road until you reach a crossroads where you will find the GR®.
(8) Take theGR® trail on the left onto a track that leads to an esplanade with a viewpoint. Here, the track becomes a downhill path that leads to a wider path, which you take on the left, still following theGR® trail. About 100 metres further on, theGR® trail veers to the left and a path descends to the right.
(9) Take this path, which leads to a barely visible ruin called Le Petit Noyer. The track widens as it turns left following a logging operation. Continue to follow the track, ignoring a path on the right, which is only a shortcut. Stay on the track until you reach elevation 87, where you will find theGR® coming from the opposite direction. At this point, theGR® joins the stream bed, which it crosses via a ford. Join theGR® via this ford and you will return to the path you took on the way there.
(1) Retrace your steps for a few metres to return to the car park (S/E).
