Description of the walk

The starting point is at 8, Rue du Romelaëre in Clairmarais. It is in the car park next to the church. There is another car park 300 metres away in the direction of the Grange Nature (18, Rue du Romelaëre).

(S/E) From the starting point sign, turn right to reach the Grange Nature. After this site, turn right onto the path that runs alongside the building, then turn left. In front of the pedestrian crossing, turn right to reach the fork.

(1) Turn left and leave the path on your left, then turn right to reach a footbridge.

(2) Take it and turn left. At the end of the path, ignore the paths on the right. Continue to a crossroads at the end of the path.

(3) Turn right to reach another intersection.

(4) Turn right and then go straight ahead to reach the road, leaving two paths on your right and another on your left.

(5) Turn right to reach a brick house (702 Hoveraere Straete). When you reach this house, take the gravel path opposite. At the end of this path, continue straight ahead to reach an intersection where there is a "dead end" sign on the right.

(6) In front of the barrier, turn left. Continue straight ahead to reach the stop sign (1292, Haecke Straete), leaving two lanes on your right and the road on your left.

(7) At the stop sign, turn right and continue straight ahead until you reach the bus stop called "Au Coin Perdu". After the bus stop, you will come to an intersection.

(8) Turn right to reach a stop sign. There, turn right and walk along the main road to reach a bridge.

(9) After the bridge, turn left onto a grassy path to enter the Rihoult-Clairmarais forest. At the end of the dirt track, at the Carrefour des Huit Chemins, take the third path on the right to reach a fork.

(10) Turn right and you will come to an intersection.

(11) Take the path opposite and, at the end of this path, turn right onto a road.

(12) Turn left to reach the church. At the stop sign, carefully cross the main road and make a first turn left then right to arrive at the starting point (S/E).
