Description of the walk

Park near the town hall. Follow route no. 3 (no. 1: Chambon, no. 2: St Symphorien, no. 4: Vallenay)

(S/E) Opposite the town hall, turn left onto the small street which becomes a wide path. Take the first right to join a grassy path leading to the railway line.

(1) Cross the railway line carefully via the two metal pedestrian gates and turn immediately left to walk alongside the railway line on your left and the River Cher on your right. Continue straight on for 2 km, following the railway line and the River Cher.

(2) Cross the railway line again, taking care, and immediately take the grassy path on your left, which then becomes stony, and continue to a cross path.

(3) Turn right and continue towards the first grassy path on the right, heading towards the hamlet of Breteaux. Walk through the hamlet. At the crossroads, leave the road on your right and take a wide path 150 m further on.

(4) After a few steps, at the three-way junction, take the left-hand branch towards the hamlet of Les Arditails. Continue straight on between the coppice on the right and the Bois de la Grange on the left until you reach a road.

(5) Opposite the woods, turn left towards the hamlet of Le Ferty and the village of Bigny.

(6) Once past the hamlet of Le Ferty, continue on to Bigny and turn left before the railway line.

(7) Walk alongside the Bois les Ordons on your right and continue for about 700 m until you reach a crossroads.

(8) Turn right and, at the end of the path, turn right onto the tarmac road, then left to return to the town hall (S/E).
