From Châteauneuf-sur-Cher, take the D73 towards Venesmes. Start from the car park by the church or the town hall.
(Follow route no. 5 – the other numbers correspond to different routes in neighbouring villages)
(S/E) Take the one-way street, walk past the cemetery and, at the crossroads, turn left onto the D73. Watch out for the railway line. Go under the railway bridge and turn left a little further on. Pass the Font Quenet wash house on your right and continue to the next railway bridge.
(1) Turn left under the railway bridge. Continue straight along this path until you reach a tarmac road after passing under the power line.
(2) Turn right. Continue straight on and, a few metres past the Éclénieul sign, take the road on the left (view of the lime kiln). Leave the street on your right and continue along the second street where there is a well.
(3) Continue straight on until you reach the agricultural machinery shed on the right, then turn left onto the path leading to a wooden gate where the Font D'hurtault wash house is located.
(4) Retrace your steps to return to the street with the well.
(3) Turn left. Cross the D940 carefully and continue straight on towards the house with the fig tree at the side of the path. Continue straight ahead. You will reach the tarmac road D14.
(5) Turn left (be careful, there is traffic) and take the first path on the left opposite the sign: Les Vaslins.
(6) Look out for the Lavoir Du Champ Colin on the left. Carry on until you reach the road. Follow it to the left, then left again before turning left once more to finally join the path on the right.
(7) Continue along the path, reach a road and carry on. Leave the road on your right, pass in front of the Cave de Venesmes and leave the path on your right, continuing for a few metres.
(8) Turn right onto the small road towards the Lavoir de la Font De Scay behind a stone wall, near the Scay farm.
(9) From the wash house, return to the fork.
(8) Turn right. Cross the D94 with care and turn right onto a track. Follow it to the end.
Turn right towards the Lavoir Du Pallus.
(11) From the wash house, retrace your steps. Ignore the path on the right.
Continue and, at the top of the hill, take the path on the right.
(12) Pass by the Venesmes vineyards again and, at the far end, turn left.
(13) At the next junction, under the power line, continue straight ahead down the path and pass in front of the Lavoir de la Font De Vesnesmes. Carry on, turn left and continue straight ahead to return to the car park (S/E).
