Departure from Rue Traversière, from the car park near the church (information board) (see alternative route in Practical Information).
(S/E) With your back to the church, take the road to the right for 100 metres. At the crossroads, turn left towards Bitry and a few metres further on, take the Chemin de Ronde on the left.
(1) On the platform, turn right onto a descending path. Continue along this main path, ignoring a few side paths, until you reach the D2 road.
(2) Cross immediately at the end of the path, taking great care. Turn left and descend, keeping to the right-hand side of the road and taking great care along this stretch.
(3) Leave the D2 and turn onto the small road on the right towards Montois. In this hamlet, continue along the dirt track at the end of the road, keeping to the right.
After 300 metres, there is a viewpoint with a panoramic view (Saint-Amand, Bitry). Continue for another 200 metres until you reach a crossroads.
(4) Take the hairpin turn to the left. Follow the road uphill to the Collarderie farm and continue to the junction with the road.
(5) Turn left for 50 metres and then right towards Les Galands. Leave this hamlet on your right and continue for about 100 metres. At the bend in the road on the right, take the dirt track opposite. Follow it to La Prairie. Continue along the tarmac road which leads to the D114.
Turn left, leaving the first road on your right. At the start of the bend to the left, veer slightly to the right into Rue du Château. Pass by the foot of the Donjon, then Porte de Cosne. Join Rue Traversière, turn right to return to the starting point (S/E).
