Description of the walk

Park your vehicle in the car park of the large Salle des Fêtes in Bitry.

(S/E) Go to the north corner of the village hall and take the path along the wire fence on the left.
In front of the Sainte-Foy church in Bitry, go down to the left, then turn right onto Route de Saint-Amand and, immediately after, take the first road on the left towards Les Beauchats.

(2) Turn right and continue to the T-junction in the hamlet of Les Chaboureaux.

(3) Turn right onto the tarmac road and cross this hamlet until you reach the next crossroads.

(4) Turn right for 400 metres, then turn left towards La Tuilerie. Cross the hamlet to reach an intersection.

(5) Turn right onto the road and, where it turns left at a 90° angle, continue straight ahead on the path, heading south, until you reach the junction with the D114.

(6) Cross over and climb the hill opposite. At the crossroads, go straight ahead, passing a pylon and a water tower on your left to reach an intersection.

(7) Continue straight ahead until you reach a small road. Turn left onto this road and walk for about 100 metres.

(8) Turn right onto the path on the right, heading towards Bois Pensué.
After passing a few houses, continue along the path.

(9) When you leave the woods, continue straight ahead. At the wider road, turn left and continue along this road to the bottom of the valley and the junction with the D237.

(10). Cross the road, pass a wash house on your right and continue to the next crossroads

(11). Turn right into the Bois des Ensèches. After about 1.5 km, you will come to a road (D153). Turn left.

(12) At the inverted fork, turn right towards Les Rois.
After passing through this hamlet, continue straight on until you reach the entrance to the village, where you will find a crossroads and a calvary.

(13) Turn left and join the D114. Cross the road and walk downhill for about 20 metres, then turn right to reach the car park at the starting point (S/E) 100 metres further on.

The view stretches far into the distance, over a delicate, rolling landscape.
Except when passing through the pleasant undergrowth.
The feeling of being alone in the world, with the horses...
A few steep climbs, but overall, no physical difficulties.
Beautiful sunshine made the ride even more enjoyable.
I also recommend it for "meditation".
