The Étang de Boiré loop from Saint-Honoré-les-Bains

Departure from the church in Saint-Honoré-les-Bains, where parking is easy.

(S/E) Leave the car park by going down Rue Charleuf, cross the D985 with caution and take Rue de l'Hâte.

(1) Turn right at the first junction (yellow signpost) and follow the poorly maintained path (tall grass) northwards until you reach the D985.

(2) Cross it carefully, follow the paved road opposite and continue on the D157 until the fork before the church in Préporché.

(3) Take the road on the left, Route de la Scierie, and arrive at a fork.

(4) Leave the road on the right towards Impasse de L'Aubougny and continue straight ahead on the dirt track. Please note that this track, which winds between two hedges, is poorly maintained but passable. Continue to Moulin des Garriaux.

(5) Turn right onto the paved road, pass Ruisseau le Vermoulu, then turn left towards Les Garriaux (you can continue straight ahead on this road to take a shortcut that leads back to the point).

(6) Turn right onto a dirt track, then turn right again. Be careful, this track is poorly maintained. Join the road you left earlier.

(7) Follow it to the left until you reach the Étang de Boiré.

(8) Leave the pond on your left. Further on, pass under a high-voltage power line, turn right and arrive at Achez (yellow signpost).

(9) Turn left onto the D157, then immediately right towards Montgaudon. Join the Milande.

(10) Turn right onto the dirt track (yellow signpost), which, after passing under a power line, leads to a road on the right.

(11) Turn left onto the dirt road (yellow signpost) until you reach the electricity substation at the entrance to Saint-Honoré-les-Bains.

(12) Return by turning right onto La route des Réservoirs, then right onto Rue du Chemin Ferre. Then turn right at the stadium onto Rue Charleuf, which leads to the car park (D/E).

(3) Visit the church in Préporché.

(5) Moulin de Garriaux pond.
