Helvellyn and Raise from Swirls
This Lake District walk starts from Swirls and ascends Helvellyn via Browncove Crags. The route continues north over Whiteside and Raise to reach Sticks Pass from where a descent back into the valley is made. This is a great route to the top of England's third highest mountain with equally stunning views.
St John in the valley and High Rigg
Beautiful circular walk to High Rigg summit from Legburthwaite. Dog friendly.
Grange Fell, Watendlath and High lodore
Great circular walk going to Watendlath Tarn. This valley is not really popular. Dog friendly walk.
Good navigation skills are needed during this section as the path is not visible.
Castle Crag to Seatoller
Popular walk to visit Castle Crag and the little caves in the Borrowdale forest. Dog friendly. Can be a bit challenging to go up Castle Crag when raining as the slates on the path can be very slippery.
Grange & Watendlath from Rosthwaite
Combining the delights of Borrowdale with the rural charm of Watendlath, this Lake District walk offers some wonderful views and relatively easy walking. Route finding is generally easy although there is a steady ascent from Lodore up to Watendlath.
Rosthwaite to Wadendlath
Moderate circular walk to Watendlath tarn from Rosthwaite village. Watendlath tarn is a gorgeous little tarn in the middle of big summits. Great views the entire walk. Dog friendly.
Walla Crag going down by Great Wood
This is a lovely walk up to Walla Crag summit and walking back by Great Wood forest. It is dog friendly. The views along this walk are incredible, in particular from the top of Walla Crag. The path going up Walla Crag can be a bit difficult, as it is very steep for some people.
