(S) From the Alpenblick hotel, head north on the small road that passes the cable car station. Reach the football stadium on the east side.
(1) Continue on the Alpenpässe-Weg, passing under a ski lift. The forest trail approaches a bend, overlooking the Vispterminen station further north. After the bend, head south-east to an intersection.
(2) Leave the wide track and take the path on the left (signposted Gebidumpass and Simplon).
Continue along this path through the woods to Sädolti.
(3) On more open ground, return to the Gibidumpass via this well-marked trail.
(4) At the Gebidum pass, leave the track that follows the old Bisse Heido to Ober Fulmoos. Take the path on the left that descends towards the Nantztal (signposted Mättwe, Bistinepass, Simplonpass).
Heading south-east, begin the descent towards Nantztal. Pass the Mättwe mountain pasture and join a small road along the Gamsa torrent. On the road, turn left and head north along the torrent until you reach a bridge.
(5) Cross the Gamsa and climb up towards the Bististafel stables (signposted Bistinepass, Simplonpass). Reach the Hirscher Hitte mountain pasture.
(6) At the mountain pasture, head south-east and begin the ascent to the Bistine Pass.
(7) Begin the long descent towards the Simplon Pass. Follow the very obvious path to reach the hamlet of Blattu.
(8) Climb again in an easterly direction until you reach a small road at Kopür.
(9) Rejoin the Stockalperweg and reach the Simplon Pass at the Hotel Mont-Leone.
(10) Cross the pass road and finish at the Simplon Hospice (E).
