Description of the walk

(S/E) Start at the Holsteiner Tor bus stop (line 263 from the Wandsbek Markt underground station) in Jenfeld heading north. We walk through an allotment garden association and take the second left.

(1) At Schleemer Bach, the trail curves to the right and shortly afterwards reaches a pond, which we walk along on the eastern bank. At the end of the path, we turn left and then immediately right. Passing between the school and the tennis court, we continue to Bekkamp. There we turn left, then right, then left again. The trail leads through a green area past residential buildings and a sports field. Cross Charlottenburger Straße and continue west. Cross two more streets and turn right onto Jenfelder Tannenweg, then left three times.

(2) We make a short detour from the Grüner Ring hiking trail and walk around the small lake in Jenfelder Moorpark. Then we turn left back onto the trail. We cross Kühnstraße, turn right and then immediately left. The trail runs along a small stream.

(3) Cross the Rahlau, then turn left, cross a road, turn left and then take the second right. The path leads us along the Rahlau and under railway tracks. Keep right at the fork in the path. At the end of the path, turn left, then cross Ahrensburger Straße and follow Nordmarkstraße north.

(4) Cross the Wandse and take the second right, then the second left, right and left again. The path leads through an allotment garden at the Hinschenfelde cemetery. At Friedrich-Ebert-Damm, turn right and then take the next left into Charlie-Mills-Straße.

(5) Follow the path across the site of the former trotting track, which is now surrounded by apartments.

(6) Shortly afterwards, you will reach the Trabrennbahn underground station. Behind it, take the second left. At Hopfengraben, turn right and follow the stream northwards.

(7) At Osterbek, we turn right and follow the path to the Barenbleek retention basin. At the fork behind the lake, we keep left and leave Osterbek. We take the third left, then the second right, across Steilshooper Allee and then left. The path runs parallel to the road on a green strip under high-voltage pylons. Cross the Ellernreihe street and take the fifth street diagonally to the right. Cross the Bramfelder Chaussee, then go through a park and cross the Frabriciusstraße.

(8) Cross the Seebek and turn right, then take the second right, then left, then the next left and right again. Follow the Seebek to Bramfelder See.

(9) At Bramfelder See, we turn left and follow the lake shore. At the end of the lake, we turn right and then right again at the fork in the road. We follow Fieckendorfweg and turn right after the left-hand bend.

(10) We have reached the Ohlsdorf Cemetery. Turn right, take the third left and walk parallel to Cordesallee, which leads us straight to the west exit of the cemetery. For a nicer alternative, turn left onto the second sandy path, then take the third right.

(11) The path leads us to the rose garden and the historic iron bridge (12). There are also several information signs along the route for a short nature trail. Behind the bridge, turn left, then left again. We are back at Cordesallee and turn right at the next street, cross the road, turn left behind it, take the fourth right and then left again across Talstraße. We leave the cemetery, cross Fuhlsbüttler Straße and are now standing in front of the Ohlsdorf underground station (E).
