Description of the walk

(S/E) We start our hike at the Mittlerer Landweg S-Bahn station (S2, S21) in a north-easterly direction. We cross the Nördlicher Bahngraben and follow Mittlerer Landweg.

(1) We cross the Bille, turn left and then immediately right. We are now in the Boberger Niederung nature reserve. At the next crossroads, we turn left. The path first curves to the right and then to the left. At the end of the path, we turn right, ignore the two footpaths on the left and right, and then take the next right.

(2) The path leads us to the Haarteich pond, which we half circle. To do this, we turn left at the next junction. At the end of the path, we turn right, then left.

(3) We pass the bathing area at Boberger See and follow the lake shore to the west. At the end, keep diagonally to the right.

(4) Behind the Korngraben, turn left and walk along a meadow where we have already seen storks. After the motorway, keep right.

(5) We cross the railway tracks, turn left twice and cross the Glinder Au. Then we continue west parallel to the railway tracks.

(6) At the Schleemer Bach, we turn right and follow the stream. Behind the Möllner Landstraße, the path splits. We keep to the left.

(7) You will pass a small lake and the Billstedt swimming pool. At the fork in the path, keep right and cross the Schleemer Bach. Then turn left and follow the stream.

(8) Behind Archenholzstraße, the path splits; keep right. After the left-hand bend, take the next right. The path now runs parallel to Glinder Straße.

(9) At Reinskamp, we turn left. We pass car parks on the left. Shortly afterwards, the road curves, but we continue straight ahead.

(10) We have reached Öjendorfer Park. Turn right twice and follow the official route of the Grüner Ring. (Alternatively, you can continue straight ahead to reach the shore of Lake Öjendorfer See directly.) At the end of the path, turn left.

(11) We pass a kiosk and shortly afterwards reach Öjendorfer See. At a small car park, we turn right onto Bruhnrögenredder, which takes us north over the motorway. At Barsbüttler Straße, we turn right. Before the right-hand bend, we follow the footpath straight ahead and then turn right and then left again onto Barsbüttler Straße. We have reached the Holsteiner Tor bus stop (line 263 to the Wandsbek Markt underground station) (E).
