Description of the walk

Parking at Pont-Plat, located near the stadium on the edge of the D102, which connects Plobannalec and Lesconil.

Yellow signposts.

(S/E) Leave the car park and take the first road on the left. The Kervignon Dolmen is on the left near the sports field.

(1) Go around the EDF transformer to reach the Kervadol Dolmens (signposted on the right about 200 m away), then retrace your steps and continue along the gravel path. Go around the hamlet of Kervadol.

(2) At the crossroads with the Route de Tréffiagat near a house, look for a small cross on a pedestal on the right (Croix de Kerbrizen). Turn left onto the road, then right at the next junction until you reach Penbanal. In the hamlet, turn left onto the narrow grassy path between two farm buildings until you reach the old Birinik railway line (known as the Transbigouden), which linked Pont-l'Abbé to Saint-Guénolé.

(3) Follow this wide track to the Neolithic site of Quelarn on the right.

(4) Visit the site. On leaving, cross the road and take a narrow path to the Dolmen de Tronval. The wooded path leads to the road where you turn left and then right at the crossroads. Follow this road for about 100 metres.

(5) At the first road, turn left, ignore the first road on the right and follow the road towards Keraleuc. Pass the hamlet and arrive at the Kervignon equestrian centre.

(6) Turn left towards Le Moustoir, which you will leave on your left, and notice a tall medieval cross on a circular base on your right. You will arrive at a crossroads.

No signposts

(7) At the crossroads, look for a semi-buried fountain, turn right to return to Pont-Plat. About 500 m further on, note the Kerfuns dolmen on the right, at the access road to Kervadol, and the Kervignon dolmen already spotted on the way there.

(1) Walk along the sports field to reach the Pont-Plat car park (S/E).

Notes

Note the remarkable work of the "Lire à Plobannalec" association in promoting this local heritage and raising awareness of it (pierres.paysages.free.fr).
Route inspired by a document from this association.

NB: this discovery trail mainly follows small, quiet roads.

I replaced portions with "essentially".
It's difficult to discover these elements of heritage in any other way given their locations
I think we have different ideas about what "countryside" means

This isn't just a short stretch on a small road; the entire walk is on small roads, and we cross/walk along two beautiful roads!
The first few lines say "head into the countryside", but honestly... apart from two sections of 500 metres max, there's no countryside..

Sorry, but you need to read the hiking information sheet carefully, which clearly states the objectives and the section on the small road.
There are other hikes that are more "nature-oriented".

Easy to follow and well signposted, but the hike is almost entirely on roads... no nature apart from a few spots where there are dolmens and menhirs... constant vigilance required... disappointing

A very pleasant, easy and well-written walk. Discovering the dolmens and menhirs in these well-hidden little clearings is very moving. Thank you for these discoveries

No problems on this route, which I used as a basis for extending it from the Keralouet campsite, following the Stêr on the PR and then heading towards the coast and the GR34 at Kersauz beach, returning via the port, still on the GR34, then the bridge over the Stêr and back to the campsite.
The route is not recorded but very easy to create.
