Park in the car park on the banks of the Cher below the D 83 bridge in the hamlet of Chandon.
(S/E) Go to the old port on the banks of the Cher and read the information panels about the history of this port.
Join the small road Rue des Mariniers and turn left. Continue almost straight ahead until you reach Manoir de la Boissière.
(1) Cross the archaeological site, taking Rue de l'Aqueduc opposite, and reach the Sentier de la Vigneraie crossroads.
(2) Turn right and walk alongside a vineyard. After a short climb, you will reach a crossroads with a cross. Continue straight ahead until you reach the junction with the D976 road.
(3) Cross it with great caution as this road is dangerous. Take the D45 opposite and on your left, also with caution. Leave it a few metres further on and turn left onto the path. Cross the hamlet of Gâtinelle. At the last houses, you will find a crossroads.
(4) Take the path on the right, turn left at the water treatment plant onto Rue des Vignes, and at the next crossroads turn right onto Rue de la Gangnerie. Note: from this street to the Ferme de la Chamoisière, the walk is urban, so be sure to stay on the pavements. Pass in front of the town hall, then turn right onto Rue de la Fontaine to reach Ferme de la Chamoisière.
(5) Continue straight ahead and walk through the fields. At the T-junction, turn right to reach the Croix de Marloup a few metres further on.
(6) Cross the road and continue straight ahead, still through the fields. Cross the D 83 road to reach the D976 again.
(7) Cross it with great caution and take the path almost opposite. Continue along this path and, via a circular route in the Taille des Bournais plain, join theGR®41.
(8) Turn left onto it and follow the red and white markings to the port car park (S/E).
