Quai de Belle car park, 37150 Bléré – starting point: plenty of spaces available.
(S/E) Set off facing the bridge, follow the River Cher to your left, heading due east, leaving the bridge on your left whilst staying on this bank. You are now on the GR®41, which you should follow towards Chenonceaux along the Route du Cher cycle route until you reach the Pont de Civray – a small, narrow bridge that has been fully restored and adapted for pedestrians, cyclists and cars.
(1) Take the steps to climb up onto the bridge spanning the Cher. Cross it to reach the other bank of the river, then go down the steps and follow the Cher. Further on, moving away from the river, take a path on the right leading to a dirt track.
(2) Turn left immediately onto it and continue straight on along this track until you reach the Ruisseau de Mesvres.
(3) Turn left to head back towards the banks of the Cher in the distance . If you look up, you’ll see the Pont de Bléré in the distance. Continue to the right towards this bridge , following the Cher.
(4) Turn left and cross the bridge to reach the Quai de Bellevue car park on your right (S/E).
