(S/E) The start and finish are located at the FFRP trail signpost near the junction of the D8 and D23, on the outskirts of the village of Moulins-sur-Céphons. The main trail markings are blue (in addition to the yellow-red markings ofthe GRP®).
Head south to join the D8, then follow it westwards into the village. Follow it along Rue Rechaussat on the right to cross the village.
(1) Continue to the junction with the small road leading to La Coutanderie.
(2) Turn right then left to take a grassy path which joins a tarmac road at the hamlet of Les Ajoncs; follow this straight on.
(3) At the next crossroads, turn left to join the D8. Cross it carefully and take a small road almost opposite. After 500m, take the grassy path that climbs slightly to the left across the fields. Continue westwards towards the next junction.
(4) Turn left at the end of the path, then join a wide, stony, white track which takes you to the Minières farm. Continue along a small road for 300m.
(5) Turn sharply right onto a grassy path that runs alongside the Étang Joulin. After 500m, turn left and continue straight on up the path. The path then becomes suitable for vehicles and joins another path; take this one on the left to reach the D23. Follow it for 10 metres to the right, then turn left towards the hamlet of La Pierre. At the end of the small road, turn right then head down a small path on the left.
(6) At the next crossroads, take the path on the left towards the dolmen, which you will see 200m further on. Continue north-east for 800m.
(7) Cross the small road you come to and take the path opposite that climbs up through the fields. 700m further on, the path turns left and joins another path; take this one to the right. You will then come to a narrow lane; take this to the left until you reach the town hall.
(8) Cross the D23 and take Rue du Puits Sale opposite: you will see the Oppidum on your right after 60m, then you will come back onto the D8.
(1) Turn right onto it. Quickly turn right into a small alley: you will see the remains of a tower from the medieval castle on your right, built into a house, followed by an old well. You will reach Place de l’Église and the wooden house. Walk past the church along an alley heading west and rejoin the D8 to return to the junction with the D23, which you should take to the left to return to the starting point (S/E).
