From Beuvry to Noyelles via Bellenville and Moulin Buret

Start: Beuvry small car park on Rue Nationale, near the chemist's.

(S/E) Start with your back to the road and walk along the canal. Cross the road and continue between the car park and the canal. Move away from the canal and head towards the car park to find a barrier.

(1) Go through the barrier and take the path on the old slag heap. Continue straight ahead. At the end, a small descent leads to the road.

(2) Turn right to rejoin the canal. At the bridge, continue straight ahead, still on the same bank, until you reach a^{second bridge} .

(3) Cross it and immediately turn left onto the other bank: a pretty grassy path leads to Rue Basse.

(4) Turn right into Rue Basse. Just after the calvary, take the street on the right at the fork, until you reach the sign for the town.

(5) Take the path on the right (barrier) to enter the Domaine de Bellenville. This path is quite damp but well maintained. You will reach a T-junction. Take the path on the right over a long wooden walkway which leads to one of the entrances to the site. Do not exit, but take the path on the left, which remains within the estate. You will reach a T-junction.

(6) Turn right, cross the road and re-enter the estate (barrier). At the T-junction, turn left onto a pretty path through the undergrowth (one barrier at the entrance, another at the exit) which eventually leads to the Étangs d'Annequin.

(7) Keep to the right and you will reach a T-junction. Turn right to join the D941. Follow it to the right until you reach the pedestrian crossing. Cross (be careful, there's traffic!) and take the small road opposite. Walk along part of Cavalier (slag heap), which unfortunately is not paved, until you reach a crossroads (Bec d'Os). Follow the D65 to the right for about 100 metres.

(8) Find an entrance on the left that allows you to follow Cavalier. Join a small road and follow it to the right for about 200 metres. Leave it to follow a path on the left (barrier). Pass in front of the cemetery and reach a crossroads. Continue straight ahead for a few metres.

(9) Take the marked path on the left and you will soon reach a crossroads. Follow the path furthest to the right to join the D166. Cross it, as well as the next road, staying on the Cavalier. Continue straight ahead and you will arrive at the Noyelles sports hall.

(10) Go around it on the right and enter the sports complex. Cross it. At the exit, turn left into Rue d'Artois. Follow it to the roundabout on the D943. Go around it on the left and cross the D943.

(11) On the other side, you will find an uphill path. After 200 metres, you will reach a hairpin bend to the right.

(12) Turn onto this path and continue straight ahead until you reach the^{first housing estate} in Sailly-Labourse (it's a bit long and monotonous...).

(13) Enter the town via the^{first street} on the left. Go around it to reach Rue de Nœux, which you follow on the left until you reach the crossroads.

(14) Turn right and then immediately left. Continue along the road until you reach Rue Charles Hernu. Follow it for a while on the right,

(15) Then turn onto a path on the right (container). At the junction with Rue Jean Jaurès, continue straight ahead, either on the road (Rue Mendès France) or on the grassy area. Turn into the^{first street} on the left to cross a housing estate. At the T-junction, take the path on the left (barrier) and join Rue Octave Pressé.

(16) Cross over and enter the Terril de Labourse site. Go around the playground on the right. At the fork, take the left path and follow the main road uphill. At the crossroads, continue straight ahead. Follow the path (it's a little unclear at first) which slopes to the left before reaching some steps.

(17) Go down the stairs on the right. At the bottom, turn right to reach Rue du Marais. Cross it to enter Parc de la Loisne. Continue to the ponds.

(18) Leave the path and walk uphill on the lawn on the right towards the hedge. When you reach the hedge, turn left towards the two conifers. You will find a gap in the hedge on the right. Follow this path, which immediately turns left. At the end, turn right to reach Rue Octave Pressé.

(19) Cross and follow the wide path opposite to reach another path.

(20) Climb the embankment opposite to reach the solar farm. Walk along the left-hand side. At the end, take the path on the right, staying on the edge of the site. Reach the end of the park.

(21) Look for a path that leads into the woods on the left towards the mill (clearly visible in winter). You will arrive opposite the mill. Turn left and cross the playground. At the end, continue straight ahead on Rue Volta. Just before it curves to the left, take the path on the right that leads to the D 943.

(22) Go left to the roundabout. Cross the ring road (be careful!). Head straight ahead towards Beuvry and you will immediately find a staircase on the left. Go down it and cross the car park to go around the buildings on the left. At the end, follow Rue Émile Basly on the right. At the two crossroads, continue straight ahead and you will reach an esplanade. Continue straight ahead and join Rue Nationale. Follow it on the left and you will return to the starting point, just after the pharmacy. (S/E)

No real difficulties, but the route is quite winding. The app is highly recommended, as are good walking shoes, of course.
