Description of the walk

Park in the small car park by the roadside near the Beuvry Water Sports Centre.

(S/E) Cross Rue Jules Weppe to reach the left bank and follow the canal to the lock.

(1) Walk round the lock and carry on to the end of the canal.

(2) Follow the path across the footbridge to reach the opposite bank, then carry on straight ahead along the canal. You’ll reach Rue Henri Lefebvre.

(3) Do not take this road, but turn left to climb the slag heap and continue straight on. You will reach the leisure park.

(4) Walk past it, then turn left onto the road to cross the bridge and return to the starting point (S/E).
