Park in the water sports centre car park.
(S/E) Do not cross the bridge but take the slag heap on the left bank and continue along the path opposite.
As you leave the slag heap, turn left and follow Rue Henri Lefebvre for 500 m.
(1) Turn right into Rue des Castors, then right again into the second street, Rue de l’Estracelles.
Continue straight on along Rue du Courant and turn left into Rue Germon, crossing the small green space on the corner.
(2) Turn right onto Rue Camille Clément, then left onto Rue Georges Clémenceau and walk past the station.
Take the footbridge to cross the canal. Once at the end, go straight on almost opposite onto Rue Jules Bailleul, then turn left into Rue Jacques Morat. Cross the bridge over the canal and continue straight on.
(3) Cross Square des Martyrs (a tree-lined roundabout) and continue straight on along Rue Léon Gallot for about 200 m.
(4) Turn right then left to go round the stadium. Then continue straight on along the dirt track for 250 m and, before the hill, turn left onto Rue Jean Rostand. At the junction with Rue Jules Guesde, turn left for about 250 m.
(5) Take the small side street on the right immediately after No. 97 to come out onto Rue Casimir Beugnet. Turn right and, 40 metres further on, take a second small side street on the left between Nos. 18 and 16 to reach Rue Jean Jaurès. Cross the road and take Rue Jules Weppe almost directly opposite. Pass one street on the right and another on the left just after that.
(6) Turn right into Parc Noël Josephe between the school and the retirement home to reach Place Roger Salengro. Walk up the square and take Rue Sadi Carnot opposite. Turn left towards Église Saint-Martin.
(7) Opposite the church, take the narrow lane on the right to reach the cemetery. At the end of the lane, turn left and cross the green space. On exiting, follow the road opposite for 150 m then turn left into Rue Raoul Briquet to reach the RN 41.
(8) Turn left again. Further on, after the wide bend to the right, cross at the pedestrian crossing and take a small path on the right leading downhill towards the Loisne.
(9) Cross the bridge to reach Édith Piaf Park. Walk through the park to the end, keeping the Loisne on your left. Just as the wide path turns right to cross a housing estate, leave it by veering left, then keep left and cross the green space to reach the ring road.
(10) Cross the ring road at the pedestrian crossing, taking great care with the traffic.
Turn left, then follow Rue Octave Pressé to the right for about 300 m. After the last house, take the path on the left. At the end of the path, climb the hill opposite and walk along the solar power station on your left. Continue walking alongside the power station on your right and take the path into the wooded area
(11) Turn left and walk past the mill, then take the first turn left then right to join the street slightly opposite. At the start of the bend, follow the path to the right and, at the end of the path, turn left to return to the ring road.
Cross the ring road at the pedestrian crossing with care and continue straight on along the Route de Lens for about a hundred metres.
(12) Cross the road carefully and turn right onto Rue Arthur Lamendin. Turn left where the street bends, cross the Route de Lille and continue straight ahead, following Rue Arthur Lamendin.
Take the second street on the left, Rue du Général Leclerc, and continue straight on until you reach the water sports centre (S/E).
