Plounez is part of Paimpol. It can be reached via the Route de Kergrist, which links Paimpol to Lézardrieux.

(S/E) From the village car park near the church, set off along Chemin de Kernuet (west) then turn right at the first road, which becomes a track after the houses. Ignore a track on the left and another on the right. Near Kerguistin Farm, you’ll come to a stretch of tarmac; head round the back of the Kernuet Farm buildings. Continue right along the track which joins a tarmac country lane.
(1) Follow this road to the left for about a hundred metres, then turn right onto a new track. Follow this track, which crosses a small road, and arrive at a new crossroads with a cross.
(2) Turn right and follow the small road leading to the 15th-century Chapel of Notre-Dame de Kergrist, restored in 1603, a beautiful enclosure with a cross.
(3) Retrace your steps.
(2) At the crossroads, continue straight on along the dirt track opposite for about 1 km. This track is called “Mon frères Yves” (the title of a novel by the writer Pierre Loti). Before the houses in the hamlet of Crec’h Tiaï, take a sharp right to rejoin the small road you left earlier. Turn left twice, pass under the D786 and arrive at the banks of the Trieux opposite the Anse de Lédano (view of the Lézardrieux bridge).
(4) Walk along the cove on the left, first along the access road to the car park (another possible starting point) then along the path running alongside the ria. Pass the hamlet of Pont Dervan and reach Traou Du.
(5) Cross a small wooden bridge then turn left to pass under the railway line of the Paimpol-Pontrieux tourist steam train (La Vapeur du Trieux). Cross a road and continue along the path opposite.
Cross the Ruisseau de Traou Du again, then follow the path to the right which climbs through the woods and leads onto the plateau.
(6) At the Y-junction, turn left until you reach a small road, which you follow to the left until the next junction (beautiful view of the Anse du Lédano).
(7) Turn left onto a path that descends towards the hamlet of Landouézec.
(8) First turn left then right to pass the last houses, then continue straight down a path towards the railway line.
(9) Cross the railway line and continue to the right to join the small road called Chemin de Landouézc. Pass under the D 786 and continue straight on towards the village of Plounez. After the town hall annex, turn left and walk past the church surrounded by its cemetery to reach the car park opposite (S/E).
