Description of the walk

Park at the entrance to the path 50 m to the right of the beekeeper's house, near a cedar tree.

(S/E) Go around the beekeeper's equipment (the passage is communal) to take the small path that climbs to the bottom of the valley. Continue for about 70 m, then turn left and climb the slope: if you continue to the bottom of the valley, you will come to an impassable cliff a little further on. Go over some scree, then cross a steep passage above a rock face. Then return to the bottom of the valley.
Further on, join the start of a track near an old hunter's lookout post, next to a large hole dug to water game. Follow this track.
You will arrive at a point where the track leaves the bottom of the valley and climbs to the right. This is where the circuit ends.

(1) Continue along the track uphill (some steep sections) until you reach a fork in the tracks on the ridge.

(2) Turn right to make the round trip to the Pointes d'Éguilles for the view: this round trip can be avoided if you want a shorter hike. Follow the track downhill, then uphill. Pass a thrush hunting post and continue on a path to a viewpoint overlooking the Nesque valley: extensive view.

(3) Retrace your steps back to the fork in the tracks.

(2) Take the track on the right uphill onto a wide ridge. 1 km further on, when the descent begins, look for a small track on the right and then, a few metres further on, a small track on the left before reaching the D1a.

(4) Follow this track to the left. About 100 metres further on, in a left-hand bend, continue along a path opposite. After another hundred metres, join an old communal path on the right, recognisable by the remains of the stone walls that bordered it. Follow this path until you come to the remains of another communal path at right angles. Take it on the right and, when you come to some pastures, descend to the left over a pile of stones and reach the bottom of the valley, where you will find a path.

(5) Turn left and follow this path all the way along the thalweg. You will come across some old charcoal kilns. Further on, rejoin the track you took on the way up.

(1) Then retrace your steps along the route you took on the way there. To do this, follow the track, then the path at the bottom of the valley, go around the cliff on the path that climbs up to the right and then descends steeply, and return to the starting point (S/E).
