Col des Auzines (603m) walks

A shaded and varied walk offering the most direct route from Prades to Fillols. Once you’ve left the town, you’ll follow paths that are mostly signposted, with the exception of a short stretch of road before the Roc del Ram.

First stage of the circular route from Mas Malet to the Refuge des Cortalets. Ascent to Les Cortalets via little-used paths, marked with directional posts that are present and in very good condition (as of July 2025). This is an alternative route through the forest, sheltered from the intense heat, and above all featuring a steady climb with beautiful views. The only drawback is the access to the start via a recently resurfaced track suitable for vehicles (as of July 2025) up to Coll del Forn. First stage of a 2-day circular route starting from Caudiès-de-Fenouillèdes, taking you to Cubières-sur-Cinoble on thefirst day. This is a fairly long stage with a significant elevation gain. It is possible to adapt the route as you wish, as there are numerousPR®,GR® 36, Cathar TrailGR®367- 367A andGRP® Tour des Fenouillèdes paths.

Here is a 45 km circular route that will allow you to explore the former natural border between France and Spain, between the Aude and the Pyrénées-Orientales, as well as the upper Agly valley and its magnificent Galamus Gorges, before climbing up to the Pic de Bugarach.The route starts from Caudiès-de-Fenouillèdes towards Duilhac-sous-Peyrepertuse, then descends towards Cubières-sur-Cinoble.On the second day, approach and climb up to the Pech de Bugarach, then descend and return to Caudiès.

Day two: return to Caudiès-de-Fenouillède via the Pic or Pech de Bugarach.

This multi-day hike allows you to explore the Chemin Vauban between Villefranche-de-Conflent and Aunat, along a route of over 100 km crossing the Pyrénées-Orientales, Ariège and Aude. The route offers a wide variety of landscapes and heritage sites. In particular, it takes you past Fort Libéria, the Séjourné Bridge, the Tour de Creu, Usson Castle, as well as numerous villages and examples of local heritage. However, the route presents varying levels of difficulty depending on the section. Some sections are easy and accessible to everyone, whilst others are long, challenging and involve significant elevation changes. This is an ideal route for walkers wishing to explore a trail combining heritage, history and scenery, whilst being well prepared for the differences in difficulty and signposting depending on the section. This section of the Chemin Vauban links Villefranche-de-Conflent to Olette via a challenging and demanding route, characterised by a succession of ascents and descents that give the route a real ‘yo-yo’ effect and can make the walk particularly tiring. Despite this difficulty, the scenery is well worth the effort, with beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and the chance to explore the village of Jujols, situated halfway along the route.

This route is an alternative return route for walkno. 50823994 from Prades to Fillols. This route takes you past the Abbey of Saint-Michel de Cuxa and along a section of the Canal de Bohere (Rec de Boera on the map). It is a mainly downhill route.

To get from the outskirts of the Mas de Lastourg campsite to Serdinya without taking the main road, there is a lovely path that runs alongside the River Têt.Please note: you are not permitted to cross the campsite – it is private property!
