Col de Sosay (1919m) walks
The tour of the Pic du Jalouvre
This tour will undoubtedly allow you to spot ibex, which are often in the area, but also to observe a wide range of alpine flora, including Saint Bruno's lilies, Liotard's stars, soldanellas, and more. With a little luck, you may even spot a ptarmigan or chamois.
Aiguille Verte via Lac de Lessy from Cenise
A beautiful hike in Les Bornes, where you can admire the 360° panorama. Lake Lessy, Jura, Lake Geneva, Chablais, Giffre, Mont Blanc, Aravis mountain range, Bauges, etc. Possible difficulty for people prone to vertigo between (6) and (8) and access to Pointe de Domingit.
Lake Lessy from Cenise
A classic hike in the Bargy massif, between the Arve valley and the Aravis massif. This fairly challenging route takes you to Lac de Lessy, nestled at 1,700 m at the foot of the Aiguille Verte du Chinaillon, and offers magnificent views from the Col de Sosay. Ibex, once abundant, have unfortunately become rare following their mass culling (2014–2015). The bearded vulture remains, as this is its territory, and can be spotted fairly frequently in the area.
