Road access: from Bruniquel, follow signs for Puicelsy, then take the first road on the left towards "campement préhistorique" (prehistoric camp). Continue for 2 km to the hamlet of Escourat and park in the car park on the left.
(S/E) Follow the valley along the tarmac road heading north-east, then take the path that crosses the Merdarié stream and rejoins the tarmac road after the hamlet of Valeyres, covering a total distance of approximately 3.5 km.
(1) When you reach the D1, turn right for 40 metres, then follow the shaded path on the right. Continue along the path until you reach a clearing in the woods.
(2) Turn left onto a farm track between electric fences and join a trail.
(3) Turn right downhill to the drystone shelter.
(4) At Les Drystone Shelters, follow the tarmac road on the left which climbs to Périlhac via Saint-Mamet.
(5) Turn left onto the tarmac road that continues uphill and after 50 m, turn right onto the shaded path that leads to Pas de Périlhac. Continue right onto the tarmac road and follow it for 2 km.
(6) At the hamlet of Les Abriols, at a building with a post box on the left, take the path on the right and continue to a three-way junction.
(7) Follow the left fork.
(8) At the fork, continue downhill on the well-marked path to the hamlet of L'Escourat and then to the starting car park (S/E).
