Description of the walk

GR®38markings from Pen ar Voëz;
Mountain bike signs before Parkou Menez
Departure: Place de la Poste in Plogonnec. Place du 19 Mars 1962.

(S/E) Turn right onto Rue de Pont Peronnic, leave the road that joins the D63 on your left and turn right onto Rue du Stade, then take the first left around an industrial estate. At the intersection, turn left towards the roundabout near the Super U supermarket.

(1) Cross over and head towards Kerantous then Kerganape.

(2) At the sign for Moulin de Kerganape, turn left. After crossing the stream, continue along the path that climbs to the right and joins the road. Follow this road to the left.

(3) At the sign for Créac'h Bellec, turn left and, at the farm, turn right to follow the dirt track down to the Bonnescat mill.

(4) After going around the mill, follow the road to the left towards Plogonnec, Saint-Albin (Bonnescat mill road) until you reach Pen ar Voëz, where you turn left towards Quillien.

(5) You will reach theGR®38. Follow this wide path to Lezmel, where you can admire the horse pastures and, of course, their occupants.

(6) Cross the road and follow theGR®38trail opposite, which climbs slightly and leads to a small road. Follow this road up to the right.

(7) Leave the direction of Chapelle Saint-Thélau on your right and follow the mountain bike trail on the left towards Parkou Ménez on the left. Continue along this wide path which descends to Stang Beuliec.

(8) Turn right to pass Maner Beuliec on the left. A new passage has been created at this point, making the old mountain bike route inaccurate. Pass a wash house on the right (fountain indicated by going up the stream) and reach the Saint-Albin road. Follow it to the left for a few metres.

(9) At the Keramel housing estate, follow the mountain bike signs on the right to cross the estate and then rejoin the road leading into Plogonnec. After crossing the bridge, turn left into a car park and then right between the cypress trees to return to the starting point.

Thank you for all these comments.
When I inaugurated this route, the passage through the wash house and fountain did not yet exist.
Thank you also to the volunteers who made them possible.
I'm glad you're enjoying the suggested routes.
Enjoy your walks around Quimper, which I am still discovering myself.
Best regards

A beautiful walk in the Plogonnec countryside, allowing you to discover several villages with stone houses, numerous streams and part of the GR 38 long-distance footpath.
On the way back, between points 8 and 9, we turned off at the old wash house and reached Plogonnec through the woods, which allowed us to discover a fountain along the way. This alternative route avoids the road and the housing estate.
Thank you, Mr Floch, for all these routes, which we enjoy regularly.

Thank you for this hike in beautiful weather, with lovely scenery and encounters with horses, sheep and dogs, all very friendly!
A very pleasant walk through an area where hemp was once grown and processed. The stream and village of Kerganapé take their names from this activity.
Its former inhabitants left traces of their passage on this land by inscribing their names on the church of Saint-Thurien in Plogonnec, which is well worth a visit.

This walk makes you want to continue exploring Plogonnec's rich heritage through other routes.

As always with FLOCH walks, the route is perfectly reliable and easy to follow. The route allows for a pleasant stroll through the hills surrounding Plogonnec. All in all, it is a thoroughly enjoyable walk that allows you to discover the landscape via paths that are rarely taken.

Thank you for the message.

Until about five years ago, there was a small road leading from Stang Beuliec at the end of the route that allowed walkers and mountain bikers to avoid this sometimes busy stretch of road.
Access via Maner-Beuliec has been privatised, forcing people to take this detour.

In fact, many walkers who were familiar with the old route do not understand this sudden change.

We have to accept the reality of the terrain.

Best regards.

It feels like you're a hiking pro
Everything is explained perfectly.
The only downside, and Mr Floch is not to blame for this
is that you have to walk 300 metres along a busy road just before returning to the starting point.
