Green markings
(S/E) From the castle car park, return to the road and immediately turn left to pass beneath the castle along a small road. Follow this road until you reach a path on the right, just before an electricity pole on the left-hand side of the road. Walk about a hundred metres along this path before turning left between two vineyards, heading towards a solitary tree.
(1) Cross the road and continue straight ahead between the vineyards. You’ll come to a car park; turn left onto the small road before leaving it at the bend to take a good track on the right. Stay on this track, which curves to the right.
(2) At a hedge, leave this path at a right angle to the left towards the houses of La Bouarderie. Cross the road and continue straight ahead on the small road towards Le Raby and Armelle. Pass a few houses on the left and turn left towards Armelle.
(3) Make a short right-left zigzag at the houses to take a small forest path. Follow it, keeping in the same direction. The path joins a more clearly marked track. Walk along the higher ground, then leave the well-marked track to your right and continue along a grassy path that descends, generally keeping in the same direction. Follow a small stream; aGR® joins the path.
(4) Turn left at the end of the field to cross over the small stream, then turn left again to take the path that climbs (not the one that stays at the same level). Join a tarmac road and take it to the left. Pass in front of a few modern houses
(5) When you reach an older building, turn left onto the correct path which runs alongside the property. Continue along this path until you reach a small road, cross it and continue straight ahead.
(6) Pass a small cottage; the path, which is fairly wide but sometimes overgrown with grass, runs through vineyards and other crops. Continue along this path until you reach a large tree, turn left to cross over a stream, then slightly right onto a track suitable for vehicles.
(7) Reach the first houses, continue straight ahead along Impasse du Coiffeur and arrive at Grand’rue de Bouteville. Turn left to cross the village and reach the crossroads where you must turn sharp left to return to the castle car park. (S/E)
