Park on Place de l'Église in Maringes.
(S/E) With your back to the church and right next to the poetry hut, walk down Rue du Meunier, which becomes Route de la Rate. You will come to a crossroads.
(1) Take the cul-de-sac opposite and continue along Chemin de la Treille. Pass under a power line and you will come to a road, Chemin des Côtes.
(2) Turn right and climb up to the next crossroads.
(3) Turn onto the small path on the right and join Chemin du Pinay. Turn right to admire the view of the village of Maringes on the left.
(4) Retrace your steps and continue along Chemin des Chaudannes on the right until you reach a stone hut.
(5) Turn left onto Chemin de l'Horizon and continue to Route de Montpollon.
(6) Take Chemin de Lairat opposite and, at the bend, leave the small road for a dirt track. On the left is a viewpoint over the Forez plain. Pass the farm, continue to the right and cross a hamlet.
(7) Turn left onto a dead-end road and continue along a path. Cross a stream and arrive at a Y-shaped intersection.
(8) Take the right-hand path, Chemin de Pinay Grand, which climbs uphill and then becomes Chemin de Changayère. Pass in front of a farm and arrive at Route du Guillot Gros.
(9) Take Chemin du Trève opposite, which joins Route du Knoll.
(10) Cross it and follow the path opposite, which joins a short stretch of road, Chemin Chez Cahot, and leads to the D103.
(11) Cross Route de la Croix Rouge carefully and continue straight ahead on Allée de Neyrieux.
(12) Then take the path on the right, Chemin des Étangs, which goes around some ponds and runs alongside wooded areas. You will come to an intersection.
(13) Turn right, then left to reach a viewpoint, head towards the cross, then left towards the Saint-Roch Chapel.
(14) Take a moment to relax at the chapel, then walk down Chemin de la Chapelle to Route de Virigneux, D103, which you have already encountered.
(15) Turn left towards the bell tower. Carefully follow the road towards the church until you reach the car park on the right (S/E).
