Description of the walk

Start from the Cuillé school car park.

(S/E) From the car park, turn right onto the small gravel path leading to the Domaine des Étangs. Barely 20 metres after the start of the path, at the three-way junction, take the path on the right and continue straight on until you reach a small tarmac road. Turn right and walk 60 metres to reach a junction with the D32 (Rue de Bretagne). Turn right onto the footpath that runs alongside the road and carry on straight ahead for 180 metres until you reach the pedestrian crossing.

(1) At the pedestrian crossing, cross the road and continue straight on along the Chemin du Clos for over 600 metres until you reach the buildings at the hamlet known as Le Grand Clos.

(2) There, a path branches off slightly to the right before the buildings; take this to reach a small tarmac road at the hamlet known as La Vallée. Turn right, walk 200m and, at the next junction, turn left onto the D127 and walk for about 200m. There, a grassy path branches off to the right between two fields. Turn right, ignore a faint path on the left and you’ll reach a junction.

(3) Carry on straight ahead (ignore the path on the right towards Villedé, which you’ll take on the way back). You’ll come out onto a small road at the hamlet known as La Touche. Then carry on straight ahead along this small road for 850 metres until you reach the hamlet known as La Pelleterie.

(4) Turn left, pass through the hamlet and carry on straight ahead along this small road for 1.2 km until you reach the farm at the hamlet known as Le Bouffay. Pass the farm on your right and take the path that leads straight ahead. Follow this path, which, after 400 m, joins a tarmac road.

(5) Turn right and walk 750 metres to reach a junction at the hamlet known as Le Chemin.

(6) At this junction, carry on straight ahead; 600 metres further on, a small gravel track branches off to the left at a place called La Huardière.

(7) Turn left onto this track. After 180m, pass the house on your right and take the tree-lined path that leads straight ahead. Continue along this path for just over 600m until you come out onto a small tarmac road. Turn left and continue for just over 450m to reach the crossroads at the hamlet known as ‘le Chemin’.

(6) Head straight ahead and carry on straight on to reach the hamlet of La Touche and the path you took on the way there.

(4) Carry on straight ahead, leaving the road on your left and continuing to the right along the path you took on the way there until you reach the crossroads.

(3) Turn left onto the track and carry on straight ahead until you come out onto a small tarmac road. Continue in the same direction along this small road, then, at the three-way junction 400 metres further on, stay on the right-hand lane and carry on until you reach the junction with Rue du Maine.
Turn left, then walk just under 200 metres and turn right onto the gravel path to the left of the Proxy shop. This leads to a small square. Then turn right after the third house and head towards the football pitch. Walk round the pitch and carry on straight ahead to reach the road (Rue d’Anjou).

(8) Turn right onto Rue d’Anjou and head towards the junction by the church. Turn left onto Route de Bretagne, walk for about 300 metres, then turn left at the first junction to reach Cuillé School (S/E).

Lots of tarmac, two pleasant stretches along wide, sheltered paths, scenery of average interest, a rather monotonous route… And the signposting isn’t the best, but the route description and map are very good

We’ve downloaded the Cuillé route but haven’t tried it out yet. We’re waiting until we go for a short visit to see the family to give it a go.

I’m still having the same issues with Visorando’s usual way of working: it’s too complicated, there are too many security measures, and my personal access code isn’t working (when I try to change it, it isn’t accepted...).

I could have taken the initiative, but you still don’t have a contact email address or a telephone number… Why is that? It’s a shame…
