Start from the Cosmes Town Hall car park.
(S/E) With the town hall behind you, turn right onto Rue de Neuve Maison and follow it to the end. Turn right, following the bend, to reach Chemin des Mares. Walk 100 metres, then, at the three-way junction, take the right-hand path and head down to the church, which you’ll walk past on the right before coming out onto Rue de l’Église.
(1) Turn left and, at the crossroads, carry on straight ahead towards Astillé and Quelaines. After 50 metres, at the three-way junction at the corner of the cemetery, take the left-hand track towards Astillé. Walk past the cemetery and then the football pitches for 250 metres, then turn right onto the tree-lined path. Follow the path all the way to the end until you reach a small road.
(2) Turn left onto this small road and follow it to the first junction. Continue straight on for approximately 1.5 km until you reach one of the car parks at the Robert Tatin Museum in the hamlet of La Frénouse.
(3) At the car park, turn left, continue straight on for just over 500m, then turn right at the first junction at a place called Les Billonières. Follow the small road to the farm, pass between the buildings; the road continues as a country lane. Follow this for 700 metres, cross over the greenway, then 50 metres further on, turn right to head back down onto it.
(4) Turn right onto the greenway and walk just over 1 km to reach the Gripperay farm (on the right).
(5) Take the small road on the left, then 150 metres further on, turn left at the junction. Continue straight on for over 1 km to reach the village of Cosmes. At the stop sign in the bend, a greenway branches off to the left.
(6) Turn left, walking past the small house to join the greenway, and follow it until it leads onto Rue Neuve Maison, which you follow to the town hall car park (S/E)
