Follow the Club Vosgien's Anneau Vert markings throughout the route.
(S/E) From the front of Saint-Georges Church, follow the Anneau Vert markings, crossing Avenue d'Altkirch opposite the town hall, then turning left towards the Saint-Georges fountain. When you reach the fountain, continue right along Rue de France and follow it to the end.
When you reach Rue de la Libération, turn right until you reach the level crossing, cross it, then turn left just after the bridge over the canal.
(1) Follow the towpath on the left to the next bridge, cross the level crossing again and continue straight ahead to the entrance to the Chapelle de la Croix du Burn park.
(2) Enter the small park, cross diagonally to the right in front of the chapel, then exit along Avenue d'Altkirch, which you must cross at the pedestrian crossing. Then take the street that goes up opposite, Rue de la Chapelle, then take the second right, Rue de Flaxlanden, and follow it to the end.
(3) Turn left at the junction and, 50 metres further on, turn right onto Chemin Pilgerweg, which is closed to vehicles by a wooden barrier. Continue to the end.
(4) When you reach the junction with the Sentier des Trois Pays (Three Countries Trail), marked with a red diamond, turn left, continuing to follow the green ring markings, and continue across the fields until you reach the junction with the D8B1 road.
(5) Follow it to the left for about 20 metres, then turn right onto the path that leads back through the fields. Take care of cars on this short stretch!
The path then continues across fields, still following the green ring and red diamond markings.
After a bend, at the intersection, follow the Green Ring and Red Disc signs to the left, which will first take you along the forest and then, after another bend, up to the heights, with a view of the Émile Muller Hospital on the right and the Vosges mountains opposite.
(6) When you reach the fork in front of the construction sites of the new Brunstatt neighbourhood, turn left, still following the Green Ring. At the next fork, about 500 m further on, continue straight ahead following the Green Ring and leave the Red Disc marked path on your right.
300 m further on, turn right onto the main path, leaving the blue disc on your left. You will then descend into Brunstatt.
(7) When you reach the busier Rue Clémenceau, turn left onto Rue des Capucins and follow it to the end. At the roundabout, turn right onto Rue Jeanne d'Arc. You will already be able to see the bell tower of Saint-Georges Church.
(8) At the next intersection, take Rue Sainte-Odile opposite, then at the first intersection, turn left onto Rue de l'Église. You will then reach the car park of Saint-Georges Church (S/E).
