Description of the walk

Park in the car park at the entrance to Les Gourniers in the commune of Réallon.

(S/E) Join the discovery trail that climbs up the eastern slope. Reach the small bridge spanning the Torrent de Réallon.

(1) Turn right onto the Sentier de l'Oussela to reach the waterfall at the bottom of the Ravin d'Entraigues.

(2) Return in the opposite direction to the bridge over the Torrent de Réallon.

(1) Turn right to reach a viewing point set up to admire the Marmite de Géant, a hollow carved out by the torrent. Then continue along the path.

(3) After a lodge, at the junction, turn right and climb up to the Chapelle Saint-Marcellin. All along the way, several streams and waterfalls offer a chance to cool off.

(4) Head back down the same path, in the opposite direction.

(3) Ignore the path you took on the way up to the left and continue straight on along the track to return to the Gourniers car park (S/E).

Hike completed on 17 April 2026. Three large snowfields block the path, making the hike unsuitable for everyone.
The path for the last 300 metres before the chapel is more difficult for those prone to vertigo.

Beautiful scenery above the Réollon torrent.
A significant climb, but the descent with these unbroken views is a real treat
Well worth a visit
