From Gourette to Saint-Lary-Soulan
An 8-stage hiking tour, undertaken by two of us from 17 to 25 July 2019, between Gourette and Saint-Lary-Soulan. The route follows theGR®10trail for the most part, although we added a detour through the Marcadau Valley as well as a rest day in Gavarnie.
Oulettes de Gaube Mountain Hut – Gavarnie
The fifth stage of the trek, which links the Oulettes de Gaube mountain hut to Gavarnie, began with the ascent of the Petit Vignemale (3,032 m) early in the day.
Lac de Gaube - Cabane des Tousaus
Second stage of the four-day adventure from Cauterets to Luz-Saint-Sauveur via Petit Vignemale and Gavarnie. It can be done in one day, but I think it would be more enjoyable to split it into two days to take the time to appreciate the magnificent scenery!

From Gavarnie to the Col de Tentes via the Cabane des Soldats
A very beautiful walk that takes in a variety of very different sections of trail. Day 3
The return route for the 3-day route starts at the Tuquerouye Refuge and heads to Gavarnie via the Hourquette d’Alans and the Espuguettes Refuge.
The Spanish ledges
Second day of the trek between the Mont Perdu massif and the ledges overlooking the Ordesa Canyon: Faja Luenga, Faja de las Flores, Faja Tardiador and Faja Escuzana, with a passage via Pico Mondarruego. This hike leaves the mineral landscape of the high mountains for a succession of vertiginous ledges and grassy sections between the peaks. A long route offering thrilling experiences on the ledges and spectacular views of the mountains around Ordesa. Not recommended for those who suffer from vertigo.
