You can stop for a picnic under cover at the Croix du Garde (4) or at the Espace liberté 44 (5), where there are a few outdoor tables.
If you remain very quiet, you may be lucky enough to see some deer and/or wild boar.
After heavy rain, the streams at Moulin Coul (3) and Barbais (9), aided by the work of master beavers, overflow their banks and you have to be inventive to cross the fords without getting your feet wet, despite the planks or footbridges that have become far too short.
For your information, the first 2 and last 3 kilometres of the walk are on tarmac.
