Description of the walk

The hike starts at the entrance to the cemetery in Vic-sur-Seille, Avenue du Générale De Gaulle. Parking spaces are available along the cemetery.

(D/E ) Head south-west and leave the village via Avenue du Général de Gaulle.

(1) At the triangular intersection, first turn right then left onto a cycle path. Pass under the D38.

(2) At the end of the cycle path, turn right to return to the D38 and follow this road on your right. You will see two blockhouses on your left, just before the junction with a gravel track.

(3) Retrace your steps to the previous intersection.

(2) Continue straight ahead, crossing the D144a with caution. Then turn right and follow this road on your right.

(4) Cross the D144a again with caution and take the second track on the right. Ignore two turnings on the right (elevation 233) and head south.

(5) At the next intersection, continue straight ahead, climb and enter the Bois des Charmes.

(6) At the crossroads, take the first road on the left, the Route forestière du Champ Vautrin. Stay on this track, which further on becomes a small road. At the end, turn right and you will immediately come to the D914.

(7) Cross this road with caution and continue straight ahead on the D23c towards Juvrecourt.

(8) Take the first straight track on the left and follow the Bois de Saint-Piamont on your right. Continue straight ahead, heading north-east. At an intersection, note a blockhouse in a field on the left.

(9) Return to the D914 and follow it to the right for about 100 metres. Then turn left to cross the road with caution and take the track on the other side. Further on, turn right onto this track and head north-northeast, then east-northeast. Ignore two turnings on the left and you will come to the D38L (Rue de Strasbourg; cross).

(10) Follow this road to the left. At a cross, keep right onto Rue de Strasbourg. At the intersection at the corner of the town hall, go straight ahead onto Rue de la Municipalité.

(11) Join Rue de Vic (D38) and follow it to the left to leave the village. Continue straight ahead along this road and pass a cross.

(12) Take the first road on the right, which immediately turns left and remains parallel to the D38. Ignore a turn-off on the right, then turn right onto the small road. At a fork, take the right-hand lane. Ignore the turn-offs on the right, join the main road and follow it straight ahead.

(13) At the crossroads, turn right onto Route de Moyenvic. Ignore two turnings on the right.

(14) Take the first street on the left, Avenue du Général de Gaulle, and you will soon reach the cemetery (S/E).
