Loop between Paillencourt and Estrun

Park in the car park opposite Paillencourt church.

(S/E) Opposite the church, turn left and continue for 50 m, then turn right onto Rue Roger Salengro and turn left, then right until you reach another street at the cemetery.

(1) Turn right along the cemetery into Rue des Poissonniers and follow the road as it continues. Then turn left into Rue de Thun l'Évêque.

(2) Before the motorway and the power line, turn left.

(3) After passing the water treatment plant, at the intersection with Boulevard des Cultivateurs, turn right and follow the road.

(4) Turn left onto the D61 and then right onto Grand'Rue (Estrun), ignoring the streets on the left and right. Further on, turn right onto Rue de la Cure and continue to the Canal de l'Escaut.

(5) Turn left and follow the canal.

(6) Cross Rue de la Rosière, go down the steps, then join Bassin Rond, turn right and cross the bridge.

(7) At the intersection with Bassin Rond, turn left and then left again onto Rue Émile Chevalier. Continue along Rue Henri Deshays, alongside Bassin Rond.

(8) At the three-way junction at Enclave du Château, turn right, then left onto Voie Communale du Canal to cross the bridge and turn right onto Chemin de Halage. Pass under the D49 bridge.

(9) After the bridge, at the intersection with Chemin de Halage, turn left, then left again onto the D49. Before the bridge over the Canal de la Sensée, turn right onto Chemin de Crupuly and keep right at the next fork, heading south.

(10) At the three-way junction, take Rue de Lannoy opposite and, further on, turn right into Rue Jean Moulin.

(11) Turn left onto Rue d'Hem-Lenglet (Paillencourt) and ignore the^{first street}on the right. Turn right at the next street, Rue Maurice Jacquemart, and ignore the three streets on the right.

(12) At the school, turn right onto Rue de Cambrai and, at the three-way junction, turn left onto Route d'Eswars, ignoring the path on the right further on.

(13) Turn left onto the path, then after 400 m, turn left again onto Chemin de la Rue Martin du Nord, ignore the path on the right, continue along Rue Martin du Nord and ignore the path on the left

(14) Turn left onto Rue du Four. Further on, ignore the street on the left. At the car park opposite the school, turn right.

(15) Turn right onto Rue Gilbert Betrancourt and arrive at the car park opposite the church (S/E).

The route is not signposted but is easy to follow. The terrain is earth, stones, grass, cobblestones and tarmac. Wear suitable footwear.
