Description of the walk

Start the walk from the car park at the end of the Parroy Pond embankment, accessible via the D2.

(S/E) Head up towards the dyke and turn right, then follow a small road (Sentier du Moulin) and turn left. The road turns into a field path running alongside the pond. You’ll come to a T-junction.

(1) Turn right onto the ascending track, take the 90° left-hand bend, join a track and continue straight on until you reach a fork.

(2) Take the track on the left and, at the 241m mark, turn onto the field path on the right, which joins the D23e.

(3) Follow it to the left and, after the junction, continue straight on along the quiet D23 to reach the village of Réchicourt, as the paths have disappeared.

(4) At the entrance to the village, at the junction, continue straight on along Rue de Bezange.

(5) At the end of the street, turn left onto Grande Rue and leave the village via the D23.

(6) At the top of the hill, leave the road and take the first stony track on the left.

(7) At the Y-junction, continue along the field path to the right.

(8) Visit the memorial and retrace your steps.

(7) Take the field path on the right, which continues as a small road leading to the D21.

(9) Follow it to the right and walk straight through the village of Bures to the exit.

(10) Take the road on the left towards the water sports centre.

(11) At the entrance to the centre, take the small path on the right, follow it and join a stony track. Return to the D21.

(12) Turn left onto this road for 50 m, then turn left again for 50 m onto the small road.

(13) Turn slightly left onto a small path and enter the woods. Stay on the small path alongside the pond, cross the embankment and head back to the car park (S/E).
