Park near Saint-Blaise Church in Parc d'Anxtot.
(S/E) Follow Rue de la Forge towards Saint-Gilles-de-la-Neuvile, with your back to the church. At the junction, turn left onto Rue des Calètes.
(1) When you reach the crossroads, go straight on along the path surrounded by grassland. Follow it to the end between two fenced-off fields, turning right at a 90° angle. At the end of the path, veer slightly to your left and go up the small road (Chemin du Colombier).
(2) Take the path on the left... don’t bother looking for the dovecote, we’ve never seen it. Follow the path as it makes a first turn to the right and continue to the corner of the Bois de la Marnière.
(3) Take the path on the right which runs along the edge of the woods. Continue straight on along the stony path (Chemin de la Caroline), almost directly beneath a power line.
(4) When you reach the wayside shrine, turn left onto Route de Gommerville. Cross the motorway bridge, take thefirst right onto Rue de la Chouette and follow it round the left-hand bend.
(5) At the corner of a property, turn left onto Chemin de l'Abattoir, follow the grounds of Château de Filières on your left and join the D80 at Gommerville.
(6) You can choose to take a short detour via the church, or turn left under the beech grove onto Rue du Château de Filières.
(7) Turn right onto Chemin de la Ferme de la Motte. At the end of the lane, after passing a magnificent building hidden behind a hedge on your left, turn left onto Rue de la Motte and walk alongside the farm of the same name. You will arrive at the dog cemetery.
(8) Continue along Route du Bas de la Mare au Leu until you reach a four-way junction.
(9) Go straight on. At the three-way junction, keep left onto the path through the fields. When you reach the wasteland, turn left and head through the woodland to reach the junction with Route de Saint-Jean.
(10) Cross the road and head straight on towards the tunnel under the motorway. Pass the Route du Colombier on your right and carry on to the junction at the corner of the Bois de la Marnière, which you passed on the way out.
(3) Continue straight ahead, following the same route as on the way there.
(2) Turn right and stay on Chemin du Colombier until you reach the junction with Rue de la Caroline.
(11) Follow it to the right.
(1) Continue straight ahead along Rue de l'Église and return to the car park (S/E).
