The walk starts from the car park in front of the church in Saint-Martin-de-Beauville, on a dead-end road.
(S/E) Set off with your back to the church, cross the roundabout, then leave the road leading downhill on your right and continue straight on until you reach the D201.
(1) At the junction with the departmental road, at a place called Barrau, turn right, follow this road, pass through the hamlet of Mareigne and continue to the junction with the D201E.
(2) Turn right onto this road, which winds its way towards La Sauvetat-de-Savères, where you’ll join the D215. Drive with care. Cross the bridge over the Petite Séoune, continue straight on along the Route du Pont de la Peyre, then enter the village via the Grand Rue and pass the post office.
(3) Turn right in front of the town hall to see the church. Walk past the church on the right, then turn onto the Chemin du Moulin to come out onto the Allées du Foirail, which you follow to the left.
(4) Cross the D215(the road to Agen) carefully at the pedestrian crossing, then turn right. You’ll see the old cart, the old wash house and the 19th-century blacksmith’s workshop, which was in use until 1955.
Set off behind the wash house via the Heath Road and keep to the right to continue along a grassy path that climbs parallel to the road. Pass the cemetery, go between two hedges, then through a wood and continue to the grassy path.
(5) Turn onto this grassy path which descends to the right, carefully cross the D215 road and the bridge over the Petite Séoune. Pass to the left of the hamlet known as Le Néné and continue to the junction with the Route de la Vallée.
(6) At the junction, take the Route de la Vallée on the right. Pass below a farm selling meat at the hamlet of Lescloupet and arrive at a hairpin bend in the road.
(7) Turn left at the hairpin bend onto the Route du Village, which takes you back to the starting point in Saint-Martin-de-Beauville by following the route in the opposite direction to the outward journey (S/E)
