Car park in the bend in Rue de la Libération, near the nursing home.
(S/E) Exit the car park via Rue de la Libération and turn left, going uphill. Pass in front of the Lavoir de la Guitelle. Turn right onto Rue des Sources and follow it until it becomes a path. Continue along this path through the woods. At the stone bench, take the right fork. At the edge of the woods, you will see the chalk cliffs of the Seine.
(1) Turn left and pass under the power lines. About 500 m after the power lines, at the woods, go down to the right, then left at the next path and finally right to go down to the road below.
Cross this road and continue along the path that climbs steeply opposite. After the second pedestrian chicane, follow the path on the right, which continues to climb steeply.
At the top, enjoy the view of Mantes Collegiate Church, then arrive at the ruined chapel of Saint-Germain-de-Secqueval.
Walk past the chapel, leaving it on your right.
At the next path, turn right, continue along the plateau, then turn left at the edge. View of the Château de la Plagne.
(2) When you reach Rue des Saules, turn left. After the village hall, you will arrive at the La Plagne wash house.
(3) Leave the wash house by going up Grande Rue on the right.
(4) Turn right onto Rue des Saules, then continue straight on Rue de la Vigne-Blanche and continue along the edge of the woods. Pass under the power lines, then enter Fresnel via Route du Gros-Moulu, turning left.
(5) Turn right down Rue des Marguerites, then continue along Rue du Lavoir, which leads to the Fresnel wash house.
Go up Rue Beauregard, then, at the fork, continue right along Rue des Coteaux.
(6) At the edge of the woods, leave Rue des Coteaux and take the small path that branches off to the right into the undergrowth. This path winds and climbs until it leaves the woods and joins a wider path at the edge of a field.
Turn right onto this path. After about 500 metres, the path narrows and begins a fairly steep descent. At the bottom of the descent is a wash house.
(7) Turn right, then take the next street on the left, then left again into Rue des Amillardes.
About 200 metres from the start of this street, look for a small path that climbs up to the right. Leave the street and climb up this path, which leads to Rue de la Ballanderie. At the top of the path is a wash house.
(8) With your back to the wash house, turn left into this street. At the crossroads, turn left up Rue des Moulins. This street leads to a square with a large pond called "Lavoir".
Head towards the small chapel, keeping the pond on your left. Return to the square via the other side of the pond.
Then go up Rue de la Liberté, which is located almost opposite the square, slightly to the right of Rue Saint-Jean. Continue along Rue de la Liberté and go straight on along Rue des Fillancourts until you reach a wash house, just before a bend.
(9) Go up Impasse des Costières to Rue des Trois Cornets. Cross this street and continue along the path opposite until you reach a square, then continue along the path that veers slightly to the right.
At the fork, just after the old cemetery, turn left and continue straight ahead until you cross the D158. Cross this road and continue along the path that follows on from the previous one.
(10) At the bottom of the descent, turn right onto the first path. Do not take the path just after you see the climb. The path you are following becomes a street at the entrance to the village. At a crossroads, continue straight ahead along the street that branches off slightly to the right, below the main street.
(11) At the crossroads with Rue Saint-Martin, turn right into this street and follow its arc until you reach a new wash house.
Continue along Rue Saint-Martin until you reach the post office. Then turn left to pass in front of the town hall, then at the foot of the church. Continue along Rue de la Libération, which turns to the left and leads back to the car park at the bend in Rue de la Libération, near the health centre (S/E).
