Parking is available at the church.
(S/E) Leave the village of Saint-Baudille by taking the departmental road that leads to Mens (D216). The town hall is on your left and the church is on your right. Leave the village and pass in front of the cemetery. Cross a small bridge.
(1) You will see an iron cross on your right. To the right of this, there are two gravel roads. Take the second one on the right. When it turns to the right, ignore the path that leads to a house. Your track continues to climb steadily. You will enjoy beautiful views of the peaks in front, behind, to the left and to the right. After a hairpin bend to the left and a bend to the right, you come to another gravel track.
(2) Turn right and continue climbing steadily. You will arrive at the scattered hamlet of Fourchon (no sign of Cali...).
(3) At a fork, go up to the left (ignoring the path on the left that leads to a house). Shortly afterwards, take the gravel track that goes up to the left. A good while later, at the top of the hill, you will come to another gravel track. Take it to the right (from this point onwards, you will see yellow markings). At the entrance to the hamlet of Lotissement Richard, ignore a path that climbs to the left. One might wonder why this hamlet is called a "lotissement" (housing estate). Cross the hamlet. After a right-hand bend at the exit, turn left to quickly reach the hamlet of Longueville.
(4) On your left, you will see a sign: Longueville - alt. 1034 m. Descend to the right (not without noticing the beauty of the surroundings). Descend and pass in front of an old mill.
(5) Shortly afterwards, you will see a path on the right with a sign: Les Granges. Take this path. (Note the small cemetery on the right, in the middle of the meadow, probably Protestant). You will pass the hamlet of Les Granges. The path climbs a little, then descends again. You will come to a stretch of tarmac and a sign indicating Saint-Baudille 1.5 km away. Ignore the path coming from the left.
(6) You come out onto a cemented, striated road. You will see a sign indicating: Saint-Baudille 1.2 km. Go down to the left. Your small road descends very steeply, winding its way down.
(7) You arrive in the hamlet of Saint-Pancrasse. There is a small square with a beautiful lime tree in the centre. Take the lane between the houses on the right. Ignore the lanes on your left. You pass a drinking fountain. You will quickly reach your starting point (S/E).
